Troop running at 30% has to be a bit of run good combined with maybe the STTs are easier than the 5 and 10 dollar games used to be online?

If you’re not a fish, wearing a hat that suggests you are has to be +EV right? Like how card counters act like it’s their first time playing BJ so the floor won’t suspect anything

What is the structure like on these SNG's? I'm assuming turbo's? What is the average time for completion?

Haters, most of you lamented that had Trooper and Harry not been colluding (unproven) in their previous single table satellite venture that Trooper would not have been profitable. I know it's only a week and small sample size, etc..., but he's holding his own, which a lot of you said he couldn't do.

Troop seems to have learned his lesson about that. I see that he has some sort of group of buddies, but from what I’ve seen they don’t play together.

Iirc from dealing them last year:

1,000 starting stacks in lower games
15-minute levels
Usually last 1-1.5 hours. Can be longer or shorter. (please not longer)
As you move up in buyin you get more chips and 20-minute levels I believe.

First of all, you must’ve been waiting to post this. Second of all, this doesn’t prove anything about colluding or not colluding. Remember the scene in Rounders at the sheriffs game? Matt Damon’s character said “I was winning before he(worm) got here” when work got caught cheating. A winning player and cheating are not mutually exclusive.

The consensus is that trooper is a slightly winning to breakeven player. Nobody thinks he can't be profitable for stretches, they think that he and Harry wouldn't have won $30k that summer if they weren't colluding. If Harry and Trooper colluding had no bearing on the outcome, then why hasn't Trooper been doing this every summer and printing money?

Someone said they completely eliminated the first level this year as well. It used to be ‘optional’ but I think of the at least 20 I dealt last year maybe 1 didn’t play level 1.

Iirc there was zero proof of any collusion between Tim
And Harry. The issue at hand was that Trooper has shared some very poorly edited older videos in which he and Harry say some things that could be perceived as two friends bragging about colluding. He did this on the eve of Harry coming to town last summer to play a series of SnG stt with trooper. When myself and a couple of others pointed out how bad it all looked together Trooper got highly defensive which made the situation look more sketchy. I think Harry ended up going home playing few to no stt satties with Tim.

Basically Trump stole “No Collusion!” From Tim but I actually believe Tim and Harry #EndPolitardingHere

I've always thought Trooper's game was more well suited for SNGs than cash but if he is actually profitable at SNGs (unclear) then that makes Trooper look worse IMO because he's been completely avoiding SNGs for years, instead choosing to play cash where he makes way less than a fast food employee.

I honestly don't know how often SNG's are available outside of WSOP season. Are they readily available year round where he could be getting in a lot of volume?

No, they aren't readily available but it seems to me if he's good at them he could probably make as much playing them during the WSOP as he does playing cash the rest of the year. Didn't he and Harry make like $15k playing them one summer? That's like 2 years of poker for Trooper.

Just because we've said that Trooper's skillset or natural tendencies are more suited for SNGs or MTTs than cash games, doesn't mean that Trooper recognized this nor agreed with it.
