Will there be a vloggers' meet-up during the WSOP?

Having a premeditated plan for a video and collaborating with others is a new thing for Trooper so it will start out with lame ideas and videos. If he spends a few weeks thinking of ideas for vlog episodes, he's bound to come up with something interesting eventually.

I just feel that he gives up projects too quickly so he won't come up with a good idea in time and will stop collaborating and planning out episodes before he actually does something good.

Like his weight loss run. He had a few good weeks, then hit the gym a few times (twice? three times?), and now it is all over and he is back to eating fast food and chugging down carbs.

Will he ever step on a scale again or is he too embarrassed to show that he's back to his original weight?

Props to him for helping out BikeKing in building an audience, though. It seems to have really taken a lot for Trooper to help out someone with less subs since BikeKing had more to gain in that exchange.

Boski that is not how you bulk up, that reminded me of a 80's aerobics video.

A: You need to lift heavier weights, which would probably involve a gym.
B: And start an H&F thread if you are serious.

Although H&F is kind of weird.

Haha this,

Eat heaps and load up the weights. Just tear muscle and let it heal, then cut the fat once u got bulk.

Ezy talk, but hard to do (as in commitment)

I think the Boosted Board without a helmut in heavy traffic is the official Trooper Exit Strategy!

I posted earlier in the thread that he doesn't have the personality for it. He's trying to make it appear a fun environment but it's very forced rather than natural and does sound rather cringey.

Get a poll and bench press/deadlift...

Probably easier joining a gym to be honest.

Used to love that album when it came out. Even if it was just grunge-lite

He would have better results just doing bench press and deadlifts for a while. Moving to a barbell is crucial.

I'm also 6'5" but weigh 250ish. We probably both want to be around 220. I think I'm prob built to carry a little more than Boski. Played basketball at 215lbs but haven't been there in a while. I'm guessing I'm 15 years older than he is so losing the weight is a struggle for me.

He's obviously a hard gainer so it's gonna be tough for him. Especially if he's doing cardio. Running those stairs prob doesn't help but it's way better than long jogs.

His point about not over doing it at the beginning is spot on. Especially as he gets older.

Vlog was a little boring but I find it pretty motivational when poker heroes document their efforts to get into better shape. If he gets to 215lbs it's a big win imo.

If you haven't tried intermittent fasting, give it a shot. I have lost 100 lbs in the last 15 months doing this, deficit calories, Yoga twice a week for 20 minutes (DDP if you care) and a 5x5 stronglift program 3 days a week. The weight was coming off slowly but surely until 4 months ago when the intermittent fasting kicked it into high gear. Plus skipping breakfast was really simple for me. Not a dietician or claiming to be though as I now understand everyone's genes are just different. Just surprising how quick and effective the fasting worked without being hangry all the time.

I'm 37 fwiw, so I'm approaching solid middle age. Also, have a ton more weight to lose than you do/did. I'm still 380 at 6'4". Build more like Shaquille O'neal than Jeff Boski though.

Congrats on the weight loss man. I've also been doing IF for the past year and dropped from 195 to 175. I always get hungry after excercising so I usually plan my workouts at the end of the fasting period. The best part about it other than the weight loss is your meals taste a lot better after 16 hours of not eating.

Sorry for the continued derail...

Just started doing IF and working towards keto. Gonna do a PG&C thread in a month. Keto, IF, and 200 hours of 1\2 in july.

Skipping breakfast is easy for me.

Still struggling with the pints of ice cream at night. At least Boski doesn't have to give that up. And he gets the good stuff too. The man has some good taste.

That's a workout Richard Simmons would be proud of.

Boski, if you want to workout at home for a while first, you need a 200 lbs adjustable dumbbell set from ebay. You need to focus on heavy(for you) compound movements. DumbBell Bench press, DB Bent-over rows, DB Overhead press, DB Squats, DB Bicep curls. Don't do a circuit type workout, do about 4 sets of each exercise, rest in between each set, then move on to the next exercise. Look up the Progressive Overload Principle, and implement it. Looks like you get a decent amount of protein, you need A LOT more carbs in your meals to add calories to gain muscle.

Pretty sure everyone is being trolled, and he's just taking the piss out of Trooper's workout videos, from the period when he gave his bastardised version of keto a spin

I don't think so. That would be kinda sad and I honestly don't think that is what he is going for.

Yeah I thought that but it would be too over the top for a troll.

Trolling should be minimum effort for maximum outrage

I guess I sort of agree. He is most definitely trolling Trooper's weight loss deal but while legitimately trying to get bigger. I don't think the two things have to be mutually exclusive.

Did you watch those workouts?

I'd hardly call them over the top

Whatever you say about him, Jeff is obviously a smart guy, and resourceful enough not to be doing 10 sets of curls with 10lb weights if he wants to bulk up.

I could be wrong, of course. However, I would think he has at least one person in his social network that lifts, and would be able to steer him the right way.

Was funny the first time, and watching the videos, I can't see what else he could be doing.

I'm hoping Jeff will weigh more than me by the time I get to Vegas next month. I've not been under 205lbs since I was in the Navy

It reminded me of the workout the Brady Bunch did when Alice's drill sergeant sister came into town and made them do PT in the back yard.
