What was your result in the Vloggers game? It looked like you dominated the game the night before the Vloggers game but I didn’t see any results from the actual Vloggers game.

Re: Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

In Tropper’s latest video we hear that quote again: “I can do what I want”.

When a person is in a situation to do what he wants, the requirements are that he has time and money. This is called freedom. Trooper has time only. He has no money. So he can’t do what he wants like buy a BMW, pay higher stakes of poker, or afford a nice gf.

But technically, by having time and no money, he can avoid doing some of the things he hate (like having a boss or waking up at 8am). But this is not the freedom of “doing what he wants”. He just have a bunch of time on his hand while thinking his life choices are endless when they’re very limited.

Nobody has unlimited life choices. Perhaps Trooper does not want a BMW? If happiness in the confines of his own choices mean he drives a Hyundai and does not have to go to a real job every day then why is that wrong?

Simply because his life choices are not your life choices does not mean he isn't doing what he wants.

Tom Brady could not outbid Bill Gates in an auction for something they both want. Has Brady life failed because he clearly cannot do "whatever" he wants?

Now, before the usual suspects pick apart the analogy saying "But Brady has super bowls and a hot wife and millions of dollars and Trooper has clothes laying on the floor" I'd like to point out not all of us get to be NFL quarterbacks or bang supermodels, but we all have to decide what makes us happy in the confines of our resources in life.

Trooper has done that and a few in the thread should do the same.

So that's what it takes?

Re: Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

The Pimp makes some good points as I can see how someone can take the "I can do what I want" sthick as self-affirmation, but if it's one thing that we've learned watching his vlogs is that he doesn't want to do much. Andrew has shown 10x more of Vegas in a fraction of the amount of Trooper97vlog and Andrew's vlog is a poker vlog and not a "lifestyle/Vegas" vlog. Now granted that Tim doesn't drink, smoke, party, or trick so that eliminates a huge amount of Vegas activities. We know he likes metal, coffee, American fast food and Hodge Twins/Gary Vee. I don't know how anyone still watching his vlog is expecting anything else too different. His vlogs are very consistent as far as content. His core audience seems like a reflection of himself, just basic folk who "don't like nothing too fancy". He can still "do what he wants", but what he wants to do seems more like reflection of his lack of wants than money.

If you can have -$1k+ sessions a couple of times of month, you have 1k to take a trip for a week to somewhere if that's what you really want to do.

I can't tell. Is it better to be banging a supermodel that makes money than you and have to work 20 Sunday a year or be TheTrooper?

I can't tell. Is it better to be the Trooper or someone who hangs around the internet talking about the Trooper?

I agree that you pretty much know what's coming when you watch any of Trooper's vlogs nowadays.

I have to watch them, so I can keep up with this thread, as 90% of the content is about Tim.

Only takes 5/10 minutes, and I usually watch while I'm clearing my emails or similar.

Andrew's are definitely the best that I've seen thus far, and his laid back demeanour is contagious.

I enjoy Boski's as they're the only MTT vlogs, and I once upon a time thought I could play tourneys

Jaman,

How many times did you pick up pocket queens in the stream? Looked like twice or possibly three times from what I could see.

Turd I've already told you that you are exiled from this thread. Beat it.

I dont think this came off as you intended. Because absolutely rather talk about trooper on the internet instead of being trooper.

If i magically woke up and was Trooper?................ **** me. After the initial panic attack of being 45 without anything to my name, i would then turn to 2+2 and actually listen to the ‘haters’ and turn this ship around.

I've been following Trooper for a long time, I think I was one of his first 200 subscribers or so, and I really want him to do well. But watching him use his Boosted board in traffic with no safety gear on is making me almost wish for something to happen. It's tilting me every time.

In the latest vlog, he was just sitting in between the straight lanes and turn lanes talking to the camera with cars driving by on las vegas blvd. Not smart.

Not defending trooper here, but you do realize there are people out there that have evolved past collecting overpriced objects or "affording" a girlfriend. Some of us also actually have personalities and dont have to "buy" women......

Time is definitely a requirement and money is to a lesser extent. Depends what you want out of life. If collecting objects is how you view living the life you want, have at it. Some people value experiences more than objects.
