"Get a second job!" you say. Looking at those people that work in McDonalds and Chipotle. They stand all day, run back and forth all day, get on their knees to clean toilets and cooking equipment all day, have to fake smiles all day, have to deal with customer complaints all day, carry supplies all day, face hot cooking equipment all day, etc. Tough to get to 65 hours without killing oneself, assuming they can even get that.
I worked at McDonalds when I was like 15. Easiest job I had in my life. Maybe I cleaned the bathroom once, don't remember so it can't have been that tough. Really the only tough job at McDonald's was if you were assigned "truck" (unloading supplies). Carrying french fries from that back was not difficult at all.

Anyways, couldn't he work fast food and then play poker like 24 hours a week? That would be way more fun than playing poker 65 hours/week.

Why not? Last time someone stuck a phone in my face I grabbed the phone and smashed it into a thousand pieces. Cameras don't really seem to have much of an effect on people following the law.

I strongly disagree. When cameras are rolling, people behave a lot more. In businesses like subway for instance, they can allow people to pick from in front of the counter. If someone steals, the ubiquitous cameras will catch them. (I encourage you to try steal a few bags of chips and soda next time you go to Subway.)

When I was a kid, any thing put in front of the counter would have been stolen relentlessly.

Never go to subway but I get ring notifications daily about people having packages stolen from their front porch.

Then try Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. When I worked at D&D, I saw them for the first time put out product in front of the counter. I was shocked that they weren't getting stolen from constantly, until I realized the cameras were installed.

Sorry to say this, but you hero's actions were not brave in the least.

I recently watched that video of the two white kids trying to rob that Las Vegas vape shop. The owner's camera didn't stop them, but his knife seemed to do the trick.

The answer is the same for all of these miserable Vegas 1/2 grinders (Diesel, Trooper, BikeKing, Pman, etc...)-- get a job dealing!

They know poker rules/etiquette down pat, would get still sit in the air conditioned poker room all day and be around card games, get paid ~$30/hr for however many hours they can get, and still play poker on the side!

Diesel said he doesn't want to deal because he'd be going back to working for "the man" and not be his own boss and make his own hours (comments in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7azw6sl6N84). Makes zero sense. Trooper would make bank if he dealt Trooper Thursday, Diesel/Pman/BikeKing would all be able to make a stable $30/hr for 30-40hrs/wk and still pursue the poker dream on the side.

Yeah, he's fallen out of my algorithm also. Probably because of his infrequent posting. He just happened to pop up for me.

Nah, it's just a feel good video with a Las Vegas connection. I have a dozen cameras all over my house. I think they are useful but my opinion is that most criminals are not deterred by cameras in 2022. Probably stops the peeps that are on the fence about partaking in criminal activity though.

Curious why you would classify El Diesel as "miserable". In every video he seems happy and enjoying what he is doing. Just because it doesn't align with what you want from life doesn't mean it is bad. People are free to choose whatever life they want and don't have to adhere to some standard.

It is universally believed that poker dealing takes away the purity of being a professional poker player. Case in point: Scotty Nguyen. Because he had been a poker dealer, he has had to live with the stigma of being seen as someone lower than the other WSOP Main Event champions.

"Work and gambling don't mix." - Johnny Moss

El Diesel is capable of playing 70 hours per week. He can do what is practical while being true to his authentic self. He is a proven long term winner. I agree that Trooper should probably be a Celebrity Dealer. Bikeking should stick with gardening. And Pman can just continue enjoying his Trust Fun. These 3 have not proven themselves as poker players. But El Diesel has proven elite.

The conflating of the personalities and tendencies is ridiculous....Trooper, El D and P man are all so different and it would take the most bizarre circumstances for them to be together. But because ITT there is a lot of attention for them everything has to come back to at least one of them!!

A lot of subjective nonsense, sorry.

Yes, I remember Scotty being a dealer (around the time Sunset Station opened I believe.)

Where is this supposed "universal " belief nonsense you cite, other than in your head ?

Same for a supposed consensus about Scotty that you reference and wtf does it have to do with him having been a dealer ?

I'm sure they'll jack the price up at some point, but at the moment I pay $8.50/mo total for having all the cameras. Considering I pay close to $2k/mo in property taxes, $8.50/mo doesn't feel too expensive to me.

Don't think this is that hot of a take. Eating at the poker table is gross, but yeah lots of poker players are disgusting human beings. Unless things have changed in the last few months, eating at the table is not allowed at TCH Dallas. It definitely makes playing with a table full of euro pros more tolerable.

You dont come across "strong" or "owning your sexuality" you come across desperate

She's like a lower intensity version of Miley Cyrus.
That girl cant pull off sexy no matter how hard she tries

Lynne, you could bang just about any and every girl and guy you want, every day of the week,
how in the world do you come across as frustrated and missing out?

And to those who say, "she isn't that hot" I get it,
she isnt everyone's type, but there's no way you're putting money down on the under

I think Lynne is just trying to find herself in this world and in social media, but your Bilzerian example is really bad. Dan Bilzerian has 33 million Instagram followers and Instagram is the reason he became famous. You may think he's a joke, and perhaps 90% of all people think he's a joke, but even so, if you are looking to grow your social media brand and needed to model your social media presence after someone else then Dan Bilzerian is not a bad choice at all. Dude makes hella bank for making these sort of posts.
