$20 hourly at 1/2 live is not being slightly profitable. It's crushing the game.

Pman is a confirmed crusher in Vegas 1/2. Everyone needs to apologize and stop giving advice.

No way he charges for his autograph. And really how many people ask for it?

I accidentally ran into Trooper inside the Planet Hollywood parking lot elevator. I asked for his autograph - which is only $10 (not $25) - but he said he had reached his daily quota and was therefore sold out for the day.

Of course he doesn’t charge for autographs if he’s signing his own merchandise. That would be counterproductive. However, he does charge $100 for a pic of him alone, $150 if you are in the pic too, $200 for a mention in the vlog and a special for $300 for an autographed pic and you can do a shout out in his vlog.

How many people get the shout out special? You can see for yourself in the vlogs. Trooper really doesn’t forget people’s names. They just didn’t pay for the privilege. Makes sense now, huh?

Can't wait to see his vlog about how he lit $25K on fire in about an hour.

That has to be super awkward for both sides. I assume most people have no idea he wants money for a picture/shoutout etc and just go up to him, excited to finally meet him and he's like "whoa whoa it's $150 for a picture together". I'd seriously think he was joking.

Trooper does not have to dress like Iron Man, Batman, Mickey Mouse, Elvis or a Las Vegas Showgirl to make a killing posing with tourists for money. All Trooper has to do is stand on the bridge that connects the Bellagio to Caesar's as himself (wearing all of the Go Gamble gear) and watch all that money fall into his lap.

When Trooper walks by, the Strip street performers ask for a pic with him.

Can someone who understands youtube SEO comment on the madness of trooper's titles? I'm assuming having nonsense as every title isn't great right?

I think he's done so many videos, that he's running out of ideas for his titles.

He's given me a shout-out twice. The first one cost me fitty bucks, but the second one he threw in for free.

I've put a longer post previously ITT about this but yes you are correct. The mass majority of reach of your video on YouTube is based on their algorithm. My own videos were 95%+ new viewers each video and almost all of that starts at the title... then the thumbnail...

The higher your ctr (click through rate - who clicks your video when they see it) the more reach youtube reward you with

Trooper doesn't grow because trooper lacks the fundamentals of how YouTube works

Pman as someone who is a longtime lurker of this thread you finally got me to log in to my long dormant account to respond to you. If you are serious about going for a career instead of trying the poker dream, I say go for it! You said you used to be a software engineer. Or at least you worked as one somewhere. Well whatever the case is, I do remember watching that in one of your videos, and then wanting to know more about your experience and thoughts on your time working in tech.

I doubt you are very good at software engineering or else I think you would have stuck with it longer. Because as I'm sure you know you can make a hell of a lot more as a software engineer than you'd ever make at poker. (And with the amount you will make there will be plenty of fun money to try and test your poker skills with.) I think G-d would like you to contribute your talents in you building something cool that can help society. Instead of just saying F--- yeaa jeebus, lets get drunk and play some blackjack... ok well now time to play poker and maybe win something. (BTW - Did you ever see the movie 'Holy Roller-The True Story'?) I don't know I guess our view of G-d is different.

Personally I only sort of quasi-believe in some higher-power. But despite all that, Book of Mormon is one of my favorite musicals. Anyways, there are a lot of opportunities in Software and Cybersecurity now as well. Maybe cybersecurity would be a good job if software engineering not for you. There is also a whole thread in NVG about jobs for poker players, you can have a look there too. There's a lot of ex pro poker players who like me now have successful careers. Some probably browse these threads as well and can give you help in starting out in those and many other great career fields. In your cryptic tweet it said you had to audition for your drop, which got me thinking you might be doing a dealer audition.

Whatever you do, please don't go and become a dealer. Use this time to build yourself a career. You will thank past you one day in the future that you didn't waste time chasing the poker dream when you could have been building something greater. Don't make excuses Pman. More people would watch vlogs about you building something big, overcoming your insomnia, achieving something truly AWE-some (and I do mean that word biblically. And then we would watch the vlogs that you go out and try to win a WSOP tournament. Now you're raising money for jeebus! That reminds me of a poker book: Ace on the River by Barry Greinstein ... d*** that is a really good book. You should read it!

I know you aspire to be something great judging from the corny and tacky billionaire mindset retweets you post on your twitter. Godspeed Pman. Have fun in the desert now, just don't get too lost there.

100% correct on this. Besides what you mentioned, the tags he uses on his video aren't great, nor does he fully use the amount he could be using. His latest videos tags are:

las vegas,las vegas strip,daily vlog,vlog,poker,poker vlog,planet hollywood,panda express

I use TubeBuddy for my own content (isn't poker related at all) and it suggests tags, etc based on what gets searched for, side bonus is I can see what tags others used in their videos.

Without even researching right off the bat he should be including words like "vegas vlogger", "poker analysis", "texas holdem" "las vegas lifestyle" etc etc anything related poker and vegas.
