Without going back and looking, has pman ever solicited advice from this thread? He's responded to advice given, but I don't recall him ever asking for it. Seems silly to get upset about someone not taking your advice if they didn't ask for it in the first place. Also seems silly to repeatedly give the same advice, solicited or not, when someone doesn't listen to it.

Pretty sure pman said he is still on the plus side playing poker, so not sure what all the hand wringing is about. He's obviously not going to be a poker pro, but hopefully he's enjoying his time in Vegas, however long it ends up lasting.

In his PGC thread he asked for positive advice and constructive criticism on his videos, poker, and life. It is true that he seems to not pay any attention to it and just does what he feels, which is fine, but why ask in the first place?

At least for me the hand wringing is someone stating they want to do something, asking for you to follow, etc... then just not even try. We have 0 proof that Pman can even beat 1/2 over a decent sample. Would someone try to make a living as a golfer if they don't know whether they can even break par? Would they then play very little, not practice, and play video games for months on end and say, well it disappoints me, but apparently I can't play golf to pay the bills? Or would they already know they can shoot a certain score, then they play every day, spend hours on the range, hours on the putting green, work with their instructor, spend time in gym, etc...?

There are several "personalities" in it, which includes several streamers that have very little poker experience. I would assume a few people are being put into the tournament by the organizers or a sponsor, with Brad being one of them.

Sometimes you have to take a step back before taking two steps forward. If this is his version of college theres going to be ups and downs and theres going to be mistakes he makes, thats just the nature of life, hes still a young guy, has all the time in the world to do whatever he wants to do.

Would it have been better if he listened to the collective advice? Yes of course, but you have to go through it sometimes before you can really know. Thats the point of trying to give him all of our advice, so he doesnt have to face the same adversity that we have faced or know exists. How did we collectively learn what to do? Most likely from experience, at least thats been the best teacher for me. Hes going to learn from his initial foray into it, and come out stronger for the next attempt if thats what he chooses to do. All about evolving and growing as a person, now is the time for growth for him as he contemplates things he did well, what went wrong, and what to do from here. Its a lonely and arduous climb back up the mountain, that he really hasnt even started yet, the post going broke plan making haze is still fresh on him, will have to wait a month or two of grinding it back before he really starts. Gotta commend him on the honesty.

This college life you refer to is normally partaken by 18 to 20 year olds, no? Pman is much older than that. Also, that carefree college life often comes to an abrupt end. I'm not sure that will be the case for Pman.

I never understood why all these players would pay Trooper to get their moobs signed. It's not gonna last. They might as well just buy some Go Gamble merch and get that signed.

Also if you believe the good you have to believe the bad
This is a helpful post. I don't mind hearing the good and the bad. Sometimes I'm over sensitive to the bad. Thanks OFA

Yes, I am slightly profitable at 1/2 live. Small sample and like $20/hrly. I have gotten advice good and bad, and I believe I might've asked for feedback. I've been in touch with some very helpful individuals (luvdavlogs, squid, others) etc.... Not all advice I am given will I take. This could be because I'm ignorant, I don't believe it's good advice, or it's something I have to learn for myself. I know the simple stuff; put in more hours, get better, etc.... I'm changing things up for now. Less cash game grinding, more job focusing, online micro grind, fun stuff.

TLDR Enjoy my journey. Don't hate on me, but feel free to give me feedback and constructive criticism. I'm more likely to improve and listen if it comes from a good heart.

I pay attention to the advice given and follow some of it. I'm also not a golfer and can afford to take this risk. Maybe I can't beat 1/2. Maybe I'll go busto in a year. I'm willing to risk it! YOLO.

Don't worry, I got a spare pair of hiking boots for when I wear mine out. I will always be honest. Thank you.

Pman a bit stubborn but actually reads all the posts, replies to people diplomatically (not calling everyone a hater and troll), and has thick skin. He might not always follow all the advice but he's not gonna run away crying with his camera between his legs.

Maybe Trooper should look into religion to find some inner peace? Seems to be working for Pman.

Honestly my faith has gotten me through alot of tough sh*t. God is good, all the time. I don't preach and try to convert others, but if anyone is ever interested in chatting about faith / God, my DMs are open. And yeah, I might be stubborn. Something I'm working on

I wonder if his roll is close to letting him take more shots at 10/25, and he's frustrated that he can't quite get over the hump quickly playing the usual (dryer?) Bellagio 5/10 games.
I think you are vastly underestimating how much he is currently raking in from youtube and all his other revenue streams.

I don't recall if it was Brad or Andrew but on the TCH live stream one of them said that the Vegas 5/T has been a lot better with less pros than the 2/5 recently.
