I think we should all slowly get back to the true purpose of this thread.
Thrashing the Trooper.

She was 17 and he was 94 or something like that when they got married.

That sounds reasonably plausible. Many Civil war vet's lived well into the 1930's. History is not as distant as we sometimes might think.
I'm guessing they were both from Texas.
Hey, I'm not judging. I like them young myself. Sometimes as young as 40.
Who'm I kidding. Sometimes even younger than that.

Crazy to think that there’s less time between Appomattox and Pearl Harbor than Pearl Harbor to today.

Will be in Vegas soon. Should I go to a Trooper Thursday and give a honest, unbiased review? From what I've read about the game it's not that good generally speaking. I guess if they have some decent free food that might incentive me to attend.

If I was going to Vegas, I'd consider it. It would probably be fun. I think I was thinking about it myself last time I was there, but never looked into it.
Can one just show up and buy in to the game? Or is it a register type of thing?

In any case, have fun and run good.

It's a lose/lose proposition.
Either you're a Trooper fanboy and going out of your way just to be in the same room with him (gag me with a spoon) or you're some cringey stalker.

Better to just speculate and drag from afar in the thread.

I tried a few weeks ago. I started in the secondary game. I lasted an hour before I had to GTFO. The Trooper game looked like crap too, on that particular occasion.

14 push ups? I want to burst out laughing at Trooper going red in the face and having to stop at just 14 pushups but I can only assume that his back issues are the reason for such a laughable showing. No way a grown man who is under 65 can't do 25-30 push ups. I bet OMC can go more than 14 without turning red in the face.

If Trooper's back pain wasn't the issue, then maybe he should skip a vlog every once in a while to hit the gym and get into at least average shape for an almost 50 year old. That's got to be embarrassing for his girlfriend to see her man drop after 14 push ups. Is this the same guy who claims that he can beat up anyone he encounters on the streets? What a joke!

Jason, the heavy set guy, seemed to pump out more pushups than Trooper and Jason has to push a lot of weight when he does pushups. I was actually impressed with his showing even if his form wasn't the best.

14 push-ups, lol! The saddest part is that Trooper is proud of it. He put it in the vlog so he must be proud of that number. I guess he didn't even think he could do that many. Wow...just wow.

You are seriously delusional if you actually believe this.

Trooper is obviously in better shape than most 45+ year old Americans, and way way better shape than those that are poker players.

Sure, I guess you can be impressed by his showing but he didn't actually do any pushups.

In his last vlog he said he was 100% full time poker. Maybe he's marathon grinding and has no time to make videos. Unlike his poor nemesis Trooper, who has only made a vlog 43 days in a row (so far) but only averages 6 hours per session.

He has been super busy dealing poker and then playing on his days off, plus he has a family so not much time to edit vlogs. He will be filming a bunch of material next few weeks so new vlogs should be coming soon.

I would wager something close to 80% of men over 40 can't do 25+ pushups. But obviously its not a good look for Trooper and his tough guy act

I’m surprised he could do 14 push-ups. I remember him trying to work out a while back and he said he could only do 7. Either way he still smokes a bunch of people his age; just look at the percentage of people that are obese and those people will often struggle to do 5 (or even 1).

Someone should ask him how he learned to fight. Maybe he could go someplace where people are training BJJ and start destroying people just for the vlog.

Ever since Youtube stopped sending email notifications I have fallen way behind on videos. Been catching up on Boskie's videos. I have to say he is still putting out top notch quality content, one of the best out there. Wish I had time to watch his streams more often.

I have zero interest watching him (or anyone) play online, so I don’t share that assessment of Boski’s recent content.

Yes both my grandfathers served in WW II. They both been dead for 20 years. When’s the last time you played in a poker room with your grandpa?

I did play with Jackie Gaughan but he died in 2014.

I just watched 3 Rampage videos for the first time, that guy is far more in love with the idea of being a poker vlogger than being a good poker player. No idea where he made his money that he can play the stakes he does, but I think it's just a matter of time before he screws himself.

Don't need to play good poker to win in poker vlogging.

Exhibit A: Trooper.

He has what seems like a successful YT channel and a WSOP online bracelet, so probably from those.

Rampage conveys an aura of what people subjectively call "a WINNER"...a combo of luck, guts, social instincts, being deliberate, drive, and so on. His poker vlog is just one of several youtube experiments. It became a winner and now he's doubling, tripling and quadrupling down on it while modelling those who came before him thus avoiding having to reinvent the wheel: merchandising from Trooper, SEO and clickbait from Owen, meet up games and socializing from Owen/Neeme, craziness from RDP, outsourcing from Negreanu, etc.

Meantime, he does not double down on his losing experiments as much but keeps them open.

As far as poker, Rampage is no doubt a "gambler" with many of the degenerate instincts that great gamblers have . But he also seems to be a good bankroll manager who has the patience to grind but who also selectively takes shots. In fact, he has enough risk aversion that when he won $160,000 and a WSOP gold bracelet, I expected him to immediately take shots at 25-50 or higher but he instead was willing to grind back down to 1-3 and 2-5.

Rampage has very good upside balanced by good downside control.

I think he did take shots (which is good for his channel). Maybe he could have taken more, but I'm not familiar with the games in the NE area.

The fact that posters keep saying that he isn't a good at poker, yet clearly watch his videos is what most likely makes him a good vlogger.

He leaned into the $10k punt, which seems much more engaging to me than other vloggers that would have barely, if at all, mentioned it.
