To be fair a lot of pro poker players have the same weakness of
not folding over pairs and as Rampage admitted himself he's not
the best player. So seems like people in this thread are expecting
a little much IMO.

Maybe Rampage is selflessly putting out atrocious poker strategy to make the games better for the rest of us. A true hero

It really doesn’t.

He can basically use iMovie, cut footage outs, add music, viola.

It’s seriously super easy.

Only time consuming part is going through the raw footage, but he doesn’t strike me as someone who is picky.

He doesn’t even take the time to add graphics when he discuss hand history.

That alone will probably double his editing time.

just importing the videos from phone to imovie will take a minimum of 5-10 minutes

Just watched it and yea, large ouch there. I like to watch he and Brad Owen since they are entertaining but that was really tough to watch. Been there done that but a few those those were HUGE WTF moments.

Definitely less than 2hrs total. As you said, he shoots in chronological order and he's had the same format for years.
Probably finding music and new b roll takes the longest for him at this point.

Yes, transferring files will take forever.

Even just moving from iPhone to computer will take a while.

I thought we are talking about purely the editing portion?

Didn’t watch the video but if what you described is true, yeah I can buy that he ran terribly. Seems like every video he loses big though he focuses on bad beats and how unlucky he is, for the past 6 years. Probably true with most regs that don’t move up. And they ignore the times when they win with sets and got lucky. To them those hands just confirm they are a genius.

I thought he was doing better financially but after his recent move and after reading some other comments here it sounds like he is still struggling to avoid being broke. And that can make tilt worse at the poker table and more stressful.

Rampage's biggest problem is that he is just splashing around putting a 20 minutes video together from an hour and a half session.

Spoiler and long rant about that vlog after just watching it again:

So this is when Trooper's dreams of being a professional poker player died. If you enjoy schadenfreude this one's for you. He wore a Bruce Lee "Fear is for others" T-shirt, sat down and played "guns a blazin'" (his own words) and proceeded to lose $2K and ended his mission. Early on he was so excited, and couldn't wait till the weekend to start his 5/10 but did it right away on a Tuesday.

Nice guy Jaman makes an appearance and just being supportive to a new poker vlogger (11:00 in).

That lady's tournament looked seriously fun.

Funniest part of this to me is Trooper bluffing the river, getting called and he said the villain looked so confused after Trooper showed his cards. I wish we had more details about the hand. He must have taken one of his very odd lines and villain was probably confused about how Trooper played every street.

Sounds like Trooper almost pulled off the bluff though. I’m not surprised some of the 5-10 players might be fooled because he does take some different lines.

Wish we could hear what that villain and the other players at the table were thinking of his play.

He mentions the "asperger cases" with such disdain. I'm guessing those must've been the guys who smoked him for his stack in that game. Trooper sometimes doesn't realize just how angry and hateful he can be.

5/T Bellagio regs deserve all the hate and disdain that they receive.

I've seen some "special" people cashing out from 5/T over at the Bellagio. Props to them though for playing those bigger games though.

Special is the proper term to call disabled people these days.
Damn people are woke.

You gotta suffer from extreme delusion if you are someone like Trooper
and don't realize how angry and hateful you are. It's would be akin
to John McEnroe not knowing he had a bad temper while playing tennis.
Personally I think Trooper knows and doesn't give a damn or can't
control his emotions when he is getting rammed by "special" people.
haha

Okay finally watched this and I do think it’s true that he ran terribly, but he still gave very little details about the hands he played. He would say things like “I had a set and the board had 4 cards of the same suit and someone else had a flush.” He used to not give that much info before, but at least he mentioned the lines he took, the board, etc. and we had a better idea of how he played.

Is he intentionally leaving more info out now in his videos or was this just for one video? He barely said anything about any hand he played except for one. Saying he missed his draws, kept right running into sets and his opponents were bad doesn’t tell us much about his play.

After losing $1100 in the type of game he described he could have given a lot more details.

I thought he sounded frustrated even before he started playing because he was complaining about the Starbucks at PH and the employees there, but I don’t know how legit his criticisms were.

Even he said he would have kept buying in and chasing to try and get back to zero.
This part shocked me. People told him for years to do this and he never agreed with them. In the video he complained about it and still sounded like he wasn’t convinced. He clearly thought it was a mistake to stop playing in the game. I couldn’t help but think Lady Trooper must have laid down the law and he decided to do what she wants to make her happy. Who else would convince him to do that?
