When winning or losing that amount of money was a huge deal for me, and the need to go to a casino all the time with friends/gf and play dumb games where the odds were stacked against you. That is no knock against him btw, I used to do it all the time that age. I still do on occasion when with friends in Vegas and we are all out drinking. But have long since developed the discipline to walk into a casino straight to the Poker room, and straight back out when done without hitting any of the Casino games.

Gives up "only" 18 goals in the Caps series as the Pens manage to win the games he doesn't get us blown out in and survive the series.

Signs of MAF life after two game (which the Pens split) against Ottawa including a shutout in game 2! He backs that up by getting pulled in game 3 after surrendering 4 goals on 9 shots. Playoff MAF is back. Murray gets the net back and gives up only 5 goals in 5 games. Pens win Cup and while MAF didn't kill us, he certainly tried.


Not sure whyy you support him so, but if you want to talk about the non Cup years where he gives up 30 goals in 6 games to the Flyers then we probably should start our own thread and not derail this one further.


TLDR: Pens would have had a dynasty in not for dragging that anchor along with them. Give us a decent goalie and the Pens win 5 Cups minimum in that window. Maybe more.
