Just ask yourself this: Would you want to trade places with Trooper? Who in here would say yes? And this is a guy people are jealous of?

I don’t see much hating on the vloggers who are actually successful. If jealousy is causing this, Neeme should get the most hate, not Trooper.

It’s just fascinating to watch a car crash. It’s a vlog showing how someone fails at poker and we get to see reasons why and listen to his thought process and see his lol study habits. Beating 1-2 NL for $8-$10 an hour seems like an impossible challenge for him, even though he has played for years and really gets upset when he loses. It’s a vlog showing how someone stays stuck at 1-2 forever.

One thing I will give him credit for however is the weight loss thing (I’m going off of posts here and YouTube comments because I only watch the poker stuff in his videos). If he really changed his diet, lost a significant amount of weight, keeps it off for a while, and even if he doesn’t exercise, I think that’s more significant than people are saying.

If I came on here bitching constantly about (insert random TV show here) I guess the advice would be to quit watching that show, no?

People are jealous of Trooper and they have to hate on him to feel better about themselves.

You come in here and tell us how much you hate the posts of a thread you DON’T HAVE TO READ.

Maybe you should follow your own advice and quit reading the thread.

I think we are all down to watching the last few minutes to see if he played poker.

Get a feel the room he played and make sure gets home safely.

The thread contains multiple things, some worth reading. Troopers videos contain, well, Trooper videos and nothing more.

He puts out twice as many vlogs as any other vlogger and this is a poker site full of poker players, many of whom in this thread are very good and quite accomplished and it's a commentary of what happens in all of the vlogs. What are you really expecting from people? Trooper's comment section in his vlogs is way worse than this than this thread, before he scrubs all of the bad comments. People here mainly keep the talk to his play, his messy apartment that he shamelessly features, and eccentric behavior. Some of the people in this thread may take it to conjecture and speculation from time to time but all comments are within the terms of service of this site and rarely malicious to a point that a mod has to step in.

Why does the banter bother you so much? Most of the commentary lately has been on something that he's featured directly in his vlog, except the speculation on if he has a backer.

I love Chester. I used to cop a half O of white every Friday for about 6 months back in 2010 in Chester. Every now and then I would have to meet dude in Pike Creek when he was running late. Let's see when the date is. I'm always down to #GoGamble

My friend played last week at Westgate. He said Trooper is "way tight." I bounced my theory off him about Trooper playing big hands big AFTER the flop. He agreed and said he always tries to trap with big pairs which is why he's losing 1000 at 1/2 (i think).

He lost another 150 on Trooper Thursday. That’s $2200 in 3 days?

He looks like crap right now and needs to take a few days off and get his head right or this is gonna get real ugly.

Fair points, mostly anyway. I like Tim and genuinely don't understand a lot of the hatred and I didn't get really involved until people started thinking Boski's childish hat thing was a good idea.

I'm not sure how you decide to hate a guy for leaving his clothes on the floor when most here probably do the same thing. I don't understand how you hate on a guy for being overweight (again glass houses/stones maybe?) then hate on the guy for going on a diet. Hate on a guy for not going to the gym when most here probably don't, etc.......

It's been explained to me since I don't play full time for a living that I can't understand why the hate is correct and the only true path, maybe someday I'll get in the secret handshake club, but until then you are correct. It shouldn't bother me and it won't going forward.

My posting in this thread started out as a genuine lack of understanding on how so many could hate on a guy who does a lot of what they do and is just trying to live his life the way he wants. I fully admit, I still haven't figured that out. It got compounded with the Boski thing which I see as people just rooting for the bully.

I'm old enough to have figured out that I don't know what I don't know. I accept that hatred of a guy like Tim is the only acceptable answer, I'll just continue to be wrong and leave the haters to their thread.

Be well.

Some comment to protect youngsters like you.

There is almost nothing that Troop does we would suggest to anyone.

No family ties.
Gambling the life roll
Seeking live long underemployment
Insulting every service worker he meets.

I always wondered how many baristas spit in his coffee after seeing the vlog.

First of all, not every bit of criticism is 'hate'. The world isn't that black and white. I also don't believe that most people on here leave there clothes lying on the floor rather than using drawers, wardrobes, cupboards etc. I don't know a single person irl who just leaves there clothes on the floor instead.

With regards to his wieght and his diet, some are critical of the fact that what started as a poker vlog has now become a rather tedious daily discussion about carbs. He may claim these days it's a lifestyle vlog, although he flips betweeen this and a poker vlog, but given he's trying to create a brand all around gambling it's safe to say these discussions are a turn off for many who started watching his vlogs a while back.

Also, it's rather amusing that you are projecting so much onto people you don't know anything about, claiming they most likely leave clothes lying on the floor, they're likely to be over-weight, most don't go to the gym but you seem rather sensitive to people who are commenting on the above with regards to Trooper when we know all of the above definitely apply to him.

Everyone, or at least almost everyone I'd assume, started out watching his vlogs for entertainment and rooting for him to do well. For some that changed to apathy as time went on, or dislike or even hate. For me personally I just got fed up with the lies, the arrogance, the fact he's hyper sensitive to criticism, the apparent lack of a sense of humour etc. Maybe it's a cultural thing but coming from the UK taking the piss out of friends is almost seen as mandatory. It's given in good humour and taken in good humour. Trooper has had ample opportunity to take things in good humour and fire back but time and again he's shown himself to be very thin skinned and only capable of angry rants. That's not a redeeming feature to have. As others have pointed out there are quite a few vloggers out there, some more popular than Trooper, and they don't get anywhere near the criticism he does. Sometimes you've got to take a step back and ask why that is.

Pens seems to have a passion for the word "hate". You guys should see the nonsensical rant he posted in another forum asking tournament players "you must hate yourselves right?" Again, projecting. All of the evidence would point to Pensfan hating himself and seeing Trooper's lifestyle as an actual step up from his own. I hope you find your peace Pensfan. Or maybe follow the wisdon of our hero, #nobigdeal

You know he is playing awful when people think "Trooper only lost $150? Not a bad night."

Trooper needs to work on some of his major leaks ASAP or else he will no longer be a poker vlogger, he'll be a hat salesman selling hats that say "GO BROKE"

No wonder then. He lacks reading skills and/or traps himself, and calls them bad beats and runbad. Stubborn Troop.

Post to represent those who keep up with the Troop through this thread and only view the specific uploads like CaliBro, skateboard epic and those featuring Kelly.

Whether they're dating or not (I lean towards not), she seems genuine and is cute as a shiny new penny. I think he must have something going that keeps her around, probably he makes her laugh.

I suspect videos are an outlet for him, he uses them as a life vent. His sarcastic wit is likely hysterical when he's not 'on'.

I can relate to his 1/2 woes but bro, one pair don't amount to much in those games, especially if an ace falls. Those ****ers will play ace-anything, it is known. Dump your pocket tens, you're looking at two pair now.
