Brad passed him a month or two ago. Brad has over 34k subscribers and Trooper is over 31k.

Boski has over 10k right now. But a much higher percentage of his subscribers are watching his videos. Several recent videos of his have over 10k views. Several recent videos from Trooper have under 10k views. Several recent Jaman videos also have over 10k views. Of course Trooper fans will point out the fact he does almost daily videos.

But those are results one would expect when he focuses on quantity over quality so much.

How long has it been since he played 2-5? Since April or May of last year? It’s been almost a year.

Boski makes so many terrible plays. However he is apparently a full time pro so obviously knows what he is doing.... He might consider trying to fix some of these glaring leaks?

Yeah, you can tell when he explains the hand histories that some of the other players are setting him up to shove all in. They know he is prone to do that and will let him bet for them. However, it also works the other way by getting guys to call him with less then premium hands when he has a great hand. This has worked for him and he has won more then I have in tournaments, so I can't criticize too much. The only one that I would make is that once in the money or close to the top, to adjust his play a little but and reign it in and realize the ROI of the pay jumps.

Don't go to Hendon Mob - Jeff Sluzinski, if you don't want to ruin the suspense..

You are right.

He took down the 2018 WSOP main event.

Meh, it's easy to play a hand well when you have a set. It doesn't happen too often unfortunately.
Not saying that this was a great shove in a vacuum with the naked FD, but it's not terrible. It's not remotely as bad as flatting a 3bet with AA in 1/2NL (just read the thread, did not watch that vlog)

I am told Westgate is a time-share cesspool.

Has anyone stayed there?

When the obvious draw doesn’t come in, the villains calling range is too wide to shove there imo.

It's too bad there isn't a site (at least that I know of) that tracks all of a player's buyins and cashouts and does a profit calculation. Maybe I'm wrong but from what I can tell, Hendon Mob only tracks "tournament cashouts". It doesn't deduct the buyin amount from a tournament cash NOR does it track or deduct the usually 80% more likely event that a player doesn't cash at all.

That stat would shine a big spotlight on tournaments that few have seen.

Everyone would know that Phil Hellmuth is also a massive loser in tournaments.

Yes, Trooper is proven profitable since the beginning despite his recent downturn. Trooper > Hellmuth in poker playing, overall.

That would be too depressing, and some 'pros' would quit poker because of it..

I don't believe that is even close to being true, though I do think Hellmuth is an overall lifetime loser in cash games..

Hellmuth is known for making tons of deals at the final table. He only cares about titles/trophies regardless of how much he really won. For instance, when he won the Main Event against Johnny Chan, they made a major deal. The Hendon figures don't come close to his real numbers, and that's just the wins and cashes. There is also the part about costs.

Trooper is definitely down big time this year, but he was overall winners last year. There was an earlier post in this thread about Trooper's long term results. I think it was positive. Hellmuth's is definitely negative once you combine cash and tournaments.

This does not make Trooper better than Hellmuth who has cultivated a persona that gets him endorsement money. Phil is also happily married to a highly paid Doctor.
