My “negative assumptions” that this guy would rather “go gamble” than spend quality time with his kid....ok...you win

please excuse me..........but you are so full of ****t.
No way in hell you have played 190 hours in 14 days and are winning $10K.

Say whatever you want, but no one. NOT ONE LOGICAL PERSON with real experience playing live poker, is going to believe you played 190 hours in 14 days, and on top of that, won 10K.

You might have been in a casino or hanging around a poker room (I don't even believe that either), but no you did not actually play 190 hours of poker in 2 weeks.

I'm sorry to be so blunt with my calling bull****.

Nowhere did I swear, threaten, intimidate, etc, Jaman or anything about him. Just a simple question. It just seems pretty irresponsible that he chooses to gamble playing poker for dozens of hours a week, and going on Vegas trips instead of spending quality time with his daughter during her younger years. Not responsible parenting at all. But, it’s his life and he can do what he wants. Kind of a deadbeat absentee dad from the outside looking in - choosing poker instead of raising his kid. My opinion, freedom of speech, if you don’t like it - too bad.

Frank,

You're out. Don't post in this thread again.

Why is it always people that use the term "snowflake" that:

1) get so upset (snowflakey) when called out logically about something; and

2) do not know what freedom of speech is?

I don't see why this is so unbelievable. It's less than 14 hours/day, and it's not like live low-stakes poker is the most physically or mentally taxing task in the world. Phil Laak once played for 115 hour straight.

He's still way behind the pace for his "challenge", which seemed very silly in the first place, and now is pretty obviously impossible.

Jaman, upon further reflection I'm sorry I teased you. It's cool that you have the confidence to just be who you are and like whom you like and show it.

I just want to emphasize this, because it intrigues me. Since you are on a poker forum/thread. And you state this as an actual fact. Somehow?

How do you reason this?

I think your goal is easily ascertainable especially when someone who did a 100 hour challenge in 2 weeks and won 5,000 if he can do it i am sure TAP can easily do it just wondering are you vloging this goal? Seems silly if you're not vloging it.

But I am sorta doing live updates on my IG story feed.

From watching Jamans vlogs I've always gotten the impression the Bieber thing is just him being a genuine fan of the guy. He may have the appearance of a big tough guy but given some of his stories about attending college and what he majored in he strikes me as the kind of guy who may actually be a little "nerdy" to some people and he seems to be more than comfortable with that and not shy away from who he is. That kind of self confidence is what makes guys like him and Brad and Andrew so appealing to viewers I think. As far as the questions about who watches his daughter or what kind of parent he is, they are obviously completely ridiculous and out of line and I'm not really sure how someone could have possibly thought otherwise. On a side note, any time Trooper has appeared in one of Jamans vlogs he has come across quite well IMO and even led me to buy in to the possibility that "the Trooper" character he portrays in his own vlogs, and the kind of guy Tim actually is are completely different and he may actually be an extremely likeable guy in real life.

GL Advantage player. Its going to be really tough to close the deal as you are getting behind schedule and at some point are going to need to take a day off and reset. The best I have seen was bravo verified and they did 375 hrs in a calendar month @2/5. Cuserounder did 300+ also bravo verified.

edit - the 375 hr player won an absolute pile of dough that month

Do you want the real answer to this? It's a combo low iq/anti-intellectualism. Add in lashing out due to the fact they sub-consciously realize they are inferior intellectually.

This is even with "Changing the poker vlogging game"
Trooper started poker vlogging and was the only one in the game originally. Then, once others started entering the space, he realized that he had to step up his game and put a lot more work into the vlog to keep up with the competition.

He did have a few moments of success putting in effort during his trip across America and his international travels but he realized that he is not capable of putting in the effort consistently so he gave up. Let his vlog quality drop and his growth plateaued and stagnated.

Now he's getting passed in subs by Brad Owen and matched and surpassed in video view counts of 8 other vloggers.

So instead of being up for the challenge, he changed his vlog to a "lifestyle" vlog and is just sitting on the deck of his sinking ship. Much like poker. He's had some good stretches of poker but when he realizes that he needs to put in effort, get coaching, and to analyze hands away from the felt, he gives up and decides that he never really wanted to be a poker player.

At least he is consistent in cowering away from challenges. (Just realized that the weight loss challenge is a perfect example of this. Although he did hit the 100 hours challenge so it's not an issue of ability, simply an issue of effort and laziness.)

Trooper is never going to be capable of competing with guys like Neeme and Owen on poker, even if he applied himself maximally and got free coaching.

He should focus on Vegas lifestyle vlogging, doing stuff that he can afford to do with his income level, under the assumption that he won't ever do better financial than he is currently doing. He should only show himself eating at places that hipsters turn their noses up at.

I honestly think he could do better by letting himself occasionally go on social/cultural rants that appeal to dumb bubba Trump voters. He'll have his vocal haters, but he will build up his core support who will back anything he does and might buy whatever he sells because they think it results in liberal tears.

What income? He doesn't have a job. As i have said before I feel the biggest underlying problem with Trooper is he is extremely lazy. He does nothing to become a better poker player. Doesn't examine any hands like Neeme does and basically just bums around trying to make you believe filming himself drinking overpriced coffee and hats is going to make him rich.

In the end he is in a state of unemployment with no plan in sight.

Just like the guy that was saving all his baseball cards for early retirement? I used to be that guy. But that was 20 years ago and I was a young, idiot teenager. Sometimes I wonder where my Jose Canseco cards are at.

Trooper, and the other vloggers, should focus on doubling down on their strengths instead of making up for their weaknesses. For instance, Trooper is very strong on Las Vegas Strip scenes editing. He is also naturally inclined towards being a critic. These are the paths of least resistance for him. He should probably buy a drone, and study good critics. Consumer advocates like Ralph Nader, management experts like Tom Peters, movie critics like the late Siskel and Eibert, have had great careers being critics. Trooper should study these people and more, and really set a goal to get really good at it. Then find subjects (food, coffee, how things are being run, etc.) to focus his whining/criticizing on.

Kraut's strength is his friendly personality, and friends and family. He should probably emphasize these perhaps by giving advice in these areas from time to time.

Neither Trooper and Kraut are good at hand analysis. I think limiting their poker content to how much they won or lost would be sufficient if they double down enough on their strengths.

Neeme, Owen, Advantage Player, and Matt Vaughn are very strong on the technical stuff. They should double down on this, and they already are to their credit.

Jaman, Pure Aggression, Boski, Priest and the others should find their strengths too and double down on them.

My point: All of the vloggers have strengths. Focus on doubling down of them because that's where their paths of least resistance are, instead of trying to be something they're not and denying doing so.
