I wouldn't back anyone playing PLO. Too much variance. You can play perfect and lose for a long swing just as you can win a lot. NLHE is better for hourly profit.

Click the gear icon. Same settings let you slow the vids down too. You can listen to Trooper sound drunk even though he doesn’t drink.

In terms of staking, Vaughn and Advantage Player would probably be the top of the heap when in comes to vloggers playing 10/20 NL or lower.

Neeme, Jaman, Poker Priest and Owen would be borderline.

As for Trooper and Pokerkraut, the worst playing regular poster in this thread is probably only 10% less good than these two guys. Most here would be their equal or better.

Yeah, in some vlogs he superimposes a clock to show how long rain delay was tanking. As for the Bieber shirt, I always figured for table image.

Trooper's new vlog he just released should be subtitled 'stay in school and get a college degree' as he contemplates playing poker for a living which he doesn't like anymore vs. getting a crappy job like waiting tables..

Rain Delay seems like a good guy and would like for him to be in more of Jaman's vlogs. (especially the Vegas ones)

Speaking of buddies, what happened to The Feather? Kraut said he would be back in Vegas in December, but he wasn't in any of his vlogs..

With this new Trump Economy, it much less attractive to grind out poker. Get a college degree where you can get higher paying job with minimal taxes and more security. You could always make argument that you will pay less taxes as an entrepreneur but that's if you have a large or midsize biz.

It doesn't matter what taxes are under liberal regimes. As a poker player, you can write off stuff all day long. If you see your neighbor getting more guaranteed take home pay, that would tend to demotivate

Trooper's only skill that could make him some money is video editing/filming. He isn't equipped to do anything else. He could make decent money as a poker dealer but he clearly thinks its beneath him. I'm not sure if he would like editing other people's content. He would lose interest and *****/complain about working for customers. I'm curious about his plan though. One things for certain, he knows he can't make it playing poker. And hat revenue will dry up soon. Will he do something that can be interesting enough for his vlog? Or will he give that up as well? Will this "exit strategy" plan be executed in 2018? So many questions...

His problem would be solved if he learned how to be a winning player. Losing has a way of making someone not love poker, esp when you consider how much time you've spent (wasted) on the endeavor.

Maybe he should take shots at 5-10 again with the "Aspergers" that play at Bellagio.

Dont be such a dolt. Trooper regularly loses 300BB's. NLHE is much more solved than PLO. PLO plays at 3x the effective stakes. Neeme at least has potential, Troop will never improve.

OK, I'll watch that now but why the bleep would you do something half asked as Trooper does poker? He's sick of it? He had a chance for coaching. Man, guys like me are beating 1/2 but we'd take coaching in a minute. It's an ego problem with him.

I'm going to move out to Vegas in about 5 years and I'm definitely going to have certain days like Monday-Tues-Wednes where i don't play at all in order to avoid burnout and to play in the best games.

Trooper "regularly" loses 3 buy-ins because he plays the game almost everyday. But he is a proven (though only slight) winner at the game he plays, and losing 3 buy-ins is pretty normal variance for a a mostly break-even regular player.

Neeme lost what might also only be considered 3 buy-ins, but he was playing a game that he is not a regular at, against unfamiliar opponents, for much higher stakes and much deeper stacks than he is used to playing. Neeme's thought process at PLO to me seems every bit as flawed as Trooper's does at NL. And you might say that Neeme "has potential" because of what he has shown already in his NL game. But he hasn't given any sign that he wishes to become more serious about PLO.

If you are going to choose to dip your toe into a game that you have so little feel for, why would you do so for higher stakes than you are comfortable playing your best game at? And why would you immediately do so right after travelling for two straight days with almost no sleep in an unfamiliar location?

He takes that table image pretty far... posters around his house, vanity license plate...

I can't guess what kind of table image it would give him. What kind say you?

Trooper can't bring himself to admit he doesn't want to wait tables because he's almost 50..you think for a moment he's going to be honest for once but nope

He's probably doing it for Youtube image not table image. Being a middle aged guy with a daughter but liking Bieber raises questions...creates intrigue...arouses curiosity... whether or not he really likes Bieber or not...

In one of his earliest videos, he shows his like for Bieber on his car's license plate.

More importantly, Neeme was playing a game that he has much less experience in, little feel for (judging from his previous hand analysis in the game), and for deeper stacks and high stakes than he is comfortable playing his best game (he admits that 5/5/10 PLO plays at least as big as 10/20 NL). This seems pretty reckless to me, much more so than anything Trooper has done recently.
Neeme should have a much larger roll so it’s not like he has to fear it going too low after a PLO session. And he is in a better position to win it back when he goes back to NL.

When Trooper loses he loses at his main game and it’s a bigger percentage of his roll that he loses in those sessions. He has gone broke a few times because he had too many of those sessions.

I don’t think Neeme has been nearly as reckless. Also Trooper not improving his results at the lowest stakes after all these years looks really bad.

i watch Trooper at 2x and it actually makes him sound active and peppy. I tried watching him at normal speed recently and it is really depressing. He just drones on and on. At 2x, it sounds much better and his vlog doesn't really have any details so you're not missing anything.

The other guys I watch at 1.5x unless there's an interesting spot or a detailed hand that I rewatch at regular speed.

It's a great feature on YouTube!
