Trooper "regularly" loses 3 buy-ins because he plays the game almost everyday. But he is a proven (though only slight) winner at the game he plays, and losing 3 buy-ins is pretty normal variance for a a mostly break-even regular player.
Neeme lost what might also only be considered 3 buy-ins, but he was playing a game that he is not a regular at, against unfamiliar opponents, for much higher stakes and much deeper stacks than he is used to playing. Neeme's thought process at PLO to me seems every bit as flawed as Trooper's does at NL. And you might say that Neeme "has potential" because of what he has shown already in his NL game. But he hasn't given any sign that he wishes to become more serious about PLO.
If you are going to choose to dip your toe into a game that you have so little feel for, why would you do so for higher stakes than you are comfortable playing your best game at? And why would you immediately do so right after travelling for two straight days with almost no sleep in an unfamiliar location?
