I just dont think Trooper handles situations well.
I know it sounds dramatic, but he escalated that situation so much, that it could have put his friends at risk that night.

Who knows who that guy was, and what he is capable of

He may have been able to handle the situation differently, and certainly could do things different in other cases as well. I just think that he didn’t handle this particular situation poorly at all. I would have approached the situation in a manner that I believe would have kept the argument from getting out of hand as it did, but I think this is hardly something to criticize him for.

How do you think Neeme would have handled the situation? Given most of us only know Neeme from the vlogs we have seen, but no doubt in my mind it would have been over early and with probably an additional subscriber
1. We don't know how Neeme would have handled the situation.

2. Had Neeme handled it exactly as Trooper did it would all of the sudden become the textbook way to handle the situation and applauded by the people hating on Trooper for what he did here.

Ugh..........

You don’t think it was a bad idea to tell the other guy to cash out and get the **** out? Telling the guy it’s going on YouTube and saying “That’s how I win” is okay? The security guy told Trooper to stop it because he was making it worse.

I think it was super obvious he shouldn’t say stuff like that unless he wanted to make the other guy angry.

Neeme is such a laid back guy and I’ve never seen him take things so personally like that. We’ve never seen him handle anything that way. If Neeme did exactly what Trooper did it would be really out of character for him and it would deserve criticism.

Anyone else find themselves a little worried about troop? No social media activity since about noon yesterday and then a random post in this thread about something happening to him. I hope it's just a troll and troop is just taking a little break to recharge. Say what you want about him but no one deserves anything bad to happen to them bc they might come off a little cocky and confrontational at times

Westgate should inform players at the desk that they are filming and have signs up as well.

Steve00007, how did Cali act during your game?
I’m not 100% sure it was him because human memory can be off, it’s been a couple of days and I can’t remember what he was wearing. However, I really think I did play with this guy the same night. He came to Encore around 11:20 pm and sat at my 1-3 game.

I thought he seemed like someone who wasn’t a local and I’m sure he wasn’t a reg because I never saw him before. He talked and gave his opinion on stuff more often than most people (but it was stuff like comments on a hand that people usually don’t respond to, and he didn’t say anything that was out of line or controversial IMO). Definitely wasn’t shy. In one hand he raised, I folded and he started talking about the hand to the reg next to him and I guess was trying to justify his play or his thought process.

Nobody got into an argument with him but that’s to be expected.

I lost a couple of hands to him. Wish I wrote them down now. Thought he was very loose PF and tricky postflop. Definitely not an ABC player and I suspected him of being more likely to bluff than the average player, especially if he thought you didn’t have anything.

Edit: Btw if anyone can confirm that this guy got kicked out at Westgate at well past 11:20 pm then I’ve got the wrong guy.

After watching it again I think Trooper doesn’t come across as badly as I thought and he started off okay, but it didn’t take long before his poor communication skills showed up and then he started taunting the guy and clearly went too far.

Trooper is probably just lying low for a day or two, and hoping this guy goes back to California before he heads out to the Strip again. Probably a smart move actually because that guy would probably take him in a fight. But that’s one reason Trooper shouldn’t escalate things by taunting the guy. And it will get him accused of talking tough and then later hiding.

That post looked like a troll to me.

It seems WG was slow in making that guy leave. Also letting Trooper yell profanity at a guest, even if the guest was being an Ahole, isn't acceptable because Trooper is technically an employee of WG.

What are the chances that Trooper talks tough about Cali in his next episode? If he doesn't mention it and takes the high road, it would show some maturity.

Trooper's part in the exchange is not worth criticism. There are better ways to handle it, but in the heat of the moment it seems okay.

The decision to put it in the vlog is not good. Westgate will view it with their own interest in mind. Anything that puts them in a bad light will get scrutiny. This could jeopardize his agreement with them to host a Trooper game.

Agree with this. Keeping the "he stole my camera" bit for some clickbait, then making it clear it was returned and the Cali dude was thrown out of the room. This was probably enough without the extra drama for next few minutes, which probably did more damage than good for everyone's PR. Troop needs to view the impact of these things with a wider perspective than just "this happened to me"

Trooper incident made for entertaining video. Loved the line about how Cali was fine with taping until he lost two hands. Lol.

How should it have been handled? Don't. Call the floor immediately. But that's not as fun.

Think that's probably the best summary of it, for me.

Hope they do keep these games going, as I wouldn't mind scooting my drunk ass through and chucking a few buyins about during the summer.
