He actually said it was a good thing that there are players like that while at the same time clearly suppressing the short term pain. In other words, intellectually he knew that something like that was positive in the long run. What was clear though is that he clearly felt short term pain but seems to have been suppressing and denying it. He probably should admit the feeling of the pain, then find ways to make a quick emotional recovery AFTER having admitted the pain.
Not good to suppress and deny negative feelings. Once bottled up, those could manifest in a blow up somewhere down the road.
When Poker Kraut went on tilt last year (after losing more than he planned to lose because he was wrongly chasing some kind of jackpot instead of being focused on playing optimally) he admitted the pain. Then he punished himself for his tilt by not playing for at least 2 weeks while he drove for Lyft in the meantime.
