Trooper is playing 1/2 and is surprised somebody called his all in with flush draws??? That is quite the common occurrence at this level.

I think people should just be themselves instead of making fun of other people that are doing the same thing as them.

Agree. I like Kraut and I like his videos but I cringe when he does that stuff. He's better off staying on the high road and not lowering himself into the muck. I think he might be reading this thread too much.

He actually said it was a good thing that there are players like that while at the same time clearly suppressing the short term pain. In other words, intellectually he knew that something like that was positive in the long run. What was clear though is that he clearly felt short term pain but seems to have been suppressing and denying it. He probably should admit the feeling of the pain, then find ways to make a quick emotional recovery AFTER having admitted the pain.

Not good to suppress and deny negative feelings. Once bottled up, those could manifest in a blow up somewhere down the road.

When Poker Kraut went on tilt last year (after losing more than he planned to lose because he was wrongly chasing some kind of jackpot instead of being focused on playing optimally) he admitted the pain. Then he punished himself for his tilt by not playing for at least 2 weeks while he drove for Lyft in the meantime.

Also, using the f-word and the term "free Sh##$@" is inconsistent with his sunny personality.

Those don't bother me as much as that one vlog, maybe about a month ago, when for several minutes he made fun of a girl for crapping her pants.

Kraut is great, but that one vlog was a weird one..

Lol after reading this comment I went to watch the video. I can't tell if he says "I think I dated 3 girls" or "I think I did 3 girls"

Funny regardless

I felt the same way. He plays pretty well, and just got smacked by variance (and massive -EV) that session.

In his latest video Trooper made comments like “the dummy in the big blind,” “look at this ****ing *******,” and “what a bunch of ****ing morons.” If PK went too far with his joke and needs to “take the high road,” then maybe Trooper fans should say he needs to tone it down too.

There aren’t many people I’ve played with live that I’d want to call a dummy simply because they are recreational players so why say that in a vlog? This stuff is a reason why people make fun of him.

I have criticized Trooper before about treating opponents at the poker table as enemies. I think the dummy comment stems from this and is inappropriate.

I made a comment about Kraut because it's a new and relatively unaddressed issue. With Trooper, I don't need to come here and critique him because you have already done it 100 times for every possible type of misstep you perceive that he makes... piled on 400 more times by the other trolls.

Nonetheless, this attitude toward other players is probably affecting Trooper's own enjoyment (lack of) of poker as well.

If you continuously lose big sessions but don't really win big sessions, it is a sign that something might be wrong. If Trooper loses big but wins small very often, that might be okay too but it seems like he loses over 50% of the time and loses big while his wins are fewer and they are smaller so people seem concerned for him...with good reason.
Yeah, it seems like he wins 50 to 53 % of his sessions (maybe). What i see over and over again with him is that he decides how the hand will go with what he has pre.

This is a recipe for disaster at 1/2. Unless you're raising pre huge you just don't know what all these guys are calling with. You might not call 15 in the BB with 8/5 of hearts but a lot of guys do at 1/2. Over time you're a big winner against them but only if you smell out terrible situations and have the ability to fold KK or AA. It seems like, in my amateur opinion, that he has trouble folding big hands to post flop and turn aggression. His reaction to the oppression is to shove.

And this is while he is saying something like "i just dont get tilted", "i see it all the time" "and you viewers might wonder why im not upset about losing $1000"

Its so confusing why he is just not honest about it

Most men would respond with, "Well, what assets are you acquiring?" lol.
It tells us a lot about the differences between the sexes.

I'm pretty sure even in Vegas, $5 rake isn't the drop. Like isn't it 10% up to a certain amount. I never pay attention. Over here, at LC, for all games, it's $5 + $2 (for jackpot) I believe.

Also no chop, if you chop you lose $2.

Not in vegas, back in SF as mentioned from pureaggro.

When he's sitting at the table only the top part that says "Disregard Females" would be visible to the dealer. So at first glance it could be interpreted as a shirt with a misogynistic slogan.

[QUOTE=ICuRaRook;53334910]Let me know your thoughts about BB ante MTTs!

I'm not a fan of BB ante MTTs.

Antes have two purposes:

1 - Make sure every player has some skin in the game. Part of the idea of antes is that you aren't seeing hands for free 7/9ths of the time, and players are likely to play a little wider ranges / less passively if they already money in the pot. When BB pays everyone's ante, you lose this purpose entirely.

2 - Build bigger pre-flop pots to encourage action. BB antes do still meet this purpose, but it's the only purpose they meet. And a more effective way to do the same thing is to simply make the blinds larger. If you want to play this way, just eliminate antes altogether, and "skip" a level of blinds (or change to structure to accomplish the same thing).

BB antes just unfairly put a lot more cost on a single player each hand; they no longer function like antes. Get rid of them.

"Disregard females" means that you hate them?

I understand you though but at some level it just doesn't make a lot of sense. You turn it around and if a woman has a "Disregard Males" t-shirt we'd just sort of say, "standard" if we saw it...and maybe that is unfortunate that we'd do so. What's OK with the gander is not OK with the goose.
