Has Boski quit poker? His WSOP vlog was shot weeks ago and I guess edited more recently. He played in the vlogger game though so was that just a one-off thing or he reconsidered quitting? Maybe that's why he was so salty about the bad beat to BikeKing.

I love that Boski is now trolling Trooper on his vlogs:

"Excellent range analysis with the 99 hand. Please include more hand breakdowns in the future!"

Yet Boski cited the haters and trolls as one of the reasons he's quitting the vlog.

I honestly think this is a way for him to create some buzz and get people to start talking about him. He might just be joking/trolling all of us like this and it is pretty smart. Everytime Trooper mentions he might quit or he's broke, it's the talk of the thread and people watch the video because they think something big has happened.

If it is true that he is quitting vlogging, I can totally see it because it doesn't seem like he is getting compensated for all of the time that he puts into the vlogs. I honestly think Trooper is wasting his time with the vlog as well but Boski's opportunity cost is MUCH higher. Neeme might actually turn his vlog into another business with all of the networking he is doing because of the vlog. Neeme also seems to need a creative outlet and the vlog provides that so it has "hobby" value for him and de-stress value for him.

If Boski is quitting poker, I'm really surprised because it seems like he's good at it and is making money. I can see him just exploring other facets of life to see what's out there and no reason to not do poker part time and put some energy into another avenue simultaneously.

Whatever is happening, I wish Jeff the best and I'm sure he'll be successful in whatever avenues he pursues.

Yeah it seems this thread starves quickly. 3 days of no Trooper fodder and it even briefly looked like some itt might sour on Saint Neeme when he disclosed his sub Trooper volume.

One thing I was confused about. When Neeme disclosed his hours, was that all his hours total or just the sessions featured in the vlog? Or are those the same figures?

He said that those numbers are sessions that are tagged vlog sessions in his tracking app so that made me think he had sessions not featured in the vlog that he played during the same months. Am I wrong?

Seems like most ITT talk about what they like and what they don't like. Mere observations and opinions and no one is immune to criticism. I think it's rather fair, personally.

Honestly I think it's the other way around. A confident egotistical person would have no problem being up front saying "your game sucks, waste of my time". An insecure person makes up lies and excuses. I imagine trooper kinda felt like that guy who knows you're not laughing with him but at him. His ego lays in the fact he thinks hes good at poker, yet he also knows he's the mark in a game like this, so it would just be embarrassing to know everyone is out to get him and if he loses it proves that he sucks, and if he wins they'll just say it was luck.

That and his roll is too fragile to gamble it up at any time. Wild moves in random fishy games while underrolled arent gambling in his mind, thats just advanced play necessary to maximize EV. But in a featured vloggers game none of his tricks would work. He'd shove to be mysterious and suckout once, then they'd shove and win it back, it'd just be chaos. He probably thinks all pros are tricky just like him so he cant afford to be outplayed. Nobody outplays him at the nugget.

I'm pretty certain that was his total hours played. I was talking with him a few days ago about volume and he admitted it had dropped off to what he said in the vlog from a couple years ago.

The reason people are giving Neeme slack about his pathetically low hours is two part:

1) He doesn't appear to be a few bad beats from being busto

and

2) He doesn't come across as a terrible person.

Agreed. And fair imo. Which is why I was surprised to see some of the displeasure expressed.

I think expecting a guy to put out top quality content and log grinder hours is mostly unrealistic. I mean if you're in the lab reviewing hands + grinding + doing the semi small time VIP thing + taking time to film and edit + responding to comments and social media posts + carving out a little personal time, keeping a fiancé becomes tough as does playing your A game. I guess the only somewhat disingenuous thing is him regularly referring to being on the grind but it's an expression that gets thrown around loosely anyway.

Poker vlogging is very much either a labor of love or a means to an end. If the former it's suited for young guys or guys like Trooper without much else going on. If the later it's a catch 22 if you can't enlist editing help. The more and better produced content you create the less time you have to actively participate in what is the primary subject matter of the content itself.

I find it interesting that Neeme started in entertainment of some kind, Music production or something iirc, before falling into poker as a full time job. I think the skills and interest in that area translate well to what he's doing with YouTube and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it rekindles a desire to do things outside poker.

I'm more interested in whether he can grow his brand or somehow parlay his modest notoriety beyond vlogging than I am in the actual vlog content tbh.

We are basically saying the same thing except you interpret my use of the word ego to mean a positive, healthy confidence. That's not at all what I meant. When I say ego I'm referring to that Freudian thing. True confidence would be the outgrowth of a healthy ego. A less healthy ego may be prone to over defensiveness among other things when ones identity is threatened.

Even many of troops fans get frustrated with this in the comments from what I read. Begging him to ignore the "trolls and haters".
