He is also incredibly unathletic....completely out of breath walking around that park in the rain. He seriously should get that checked out although his access to health care is a bit unclear

But he was totally jumping into a 3 on 3 game if it wasn’t raining…

Wait, Diesel didn’t go to San Fran for a baseball game and he isn’t playing any poker in softer games there? Did he really go just to avoid high room rates and to make himself feel superior to the homeless people living in encampments because they don’t know about Vegas promo/diamond grinding? This vlog has just turned into a long version of Catcher in the Rye with Diesel complaining about phonies.

What was going on in Vegas that rates were high?

He can be the mayor of some San Fran shanty town.

Oh and we are to believe that someone at the airport came up and asked him how he gets such big calves. LMAO yeah its called being a fat-ass!
It's SF; the guy was scouting for a mile-high club membership.

In Vegas the room rates can really fluctuate a lot from day to day if you get a couple of conferences at the same time.

I remember in September I was there for 2 weeks and my weekdays were either all comped or like 25 dollars each at Harrah's and PH. Except one Wednesday was 500 dollars. Even Luxor or Excalibur were similar prices for that one day so I stayed downtown for like 75 bucks for the one night.

he was probably looking there for suitable candidates to teach them his secrets of playing 7/5/1 poker and promo grind

seems like he's very close to retiring from poker and feels an obligation to show another person the way before he hangs it up for good

He could literally make more money being homeless there than playing poker. I think he can get between $1000 and $1500 between EBT cards, free cash, and other perqs. He just has to be mentally ill, and that's an easy convince. He still would have to avoid being stabbed or shot.

I think he can even get to Lucky Chances on mass transit. He's probably spooked by california poker though. He got hammered in Socal, and Tahoe.

This is Diesel's life hack for a cheap room rate. If rooms are too expensive, you buy a Spirit/Frontier flight and sleep at the airport and during the flight.

Don't forget to get there several hours before the flight to snag exit row for that extra leg room when you're 5 foot 4!

it's just crazy to me what el d does. I am kinda of a nomad myself but I do the opposite on where I travel Tuesday til Friday and come back to casinos for other days. he really doesn't wanna pay for rooms which obviously means his hourly doesn't cover it but it's just crazy to do it in reverse. it's like those 100 escort girls that come into Vegas every weekend ,if they were to leave Friday 5pm .

If he could set up a tent, then rent a PO Box there, and take a cheap Spirit flight there every other weekend, he can turn the $1000 comp ebt into tier credit.

Rice's mission is to live his life contrary to any possible conventional wisdom. He has some notion that it is a great accomplishment to be living life on his own terms even if it's on the bottom rung of society.

Complying with any sort of logical or common sense life advice would be a failure on his part and he derives a great sense of satisfaction from resisting any urge or compulsion to do so.

Rice could actually publish a blueprint on how to do everything in the least optimal way and still come out feeling like a genius. Perfect example would be all the years he wasted at college and law school, never to work a day in his field. Rice will tell you he dodged a bullet there by avoiding the trap of becoming the cliched rich and successful lawyer.

I don't think he routinely leaves Vegas on weekends he just gets off the strip when it gets crazy expensive. And some of that includes his 2 days with no rooms homeless man "challenges".

Are weekend Vegas 1/2 games really that much better than say Wed night games on average? I mean I know during the day it's gonna be mostly OMC locals and that for bigger games weekends are definitely better in most places. Just not sure how much of a difference there is for low stakes in Vegas.

here's the thing: the weekends are also filled with crushers who come in, so games may get bigger but they aren't "easier" or "softer"

change my mind

If your table had 2 more whales and 2 more crushers, an okay player winrate would skyrocket. Avoid crusher, play with whale.

A single whale can literally make your month.

I remember one video of a travel blogger who would buy a refundable business class ticket departing in the evening then go to the lounge in the early morning and then cancel the ticket before the flight.

Lmao, Diesel is breathing heavy like a 95 year old that have been smoking their whole life going up that hill in his latest video.

Yeah, get those cigarfilled lungs working.

Pokerplayer exploring San Fran=walking around in the rain like a homeless bum with no plans, no money and nowhere to stay. Great stuff.

I thought it was a good video. I had never seen an urban park before, particularly one with tennis courts. So I feel like ED gave me a window into another world. Very well done.

He really is an unbelievable guy....imagine walking around like a bum with nothing to do and nowhere to go because you are so poor you can't even afford accommodation while thinking you can lord it over everyone else with superior understanding of how everything in 'the system' works......seriously could be time for an intervention is his friends and family watch his videos

Yeah, and like it have been discussed/mentioned in this thread before Diesel really is quite the scary example of how quickly things can go sideways mentally and in life if you detach yourself completely from society on all parameters.

If you look at just the past 2 years of developement alone, he is rapidly going from bad to worse regarding mental health and function levels in life.
