having said that,from the sound of it, it doesn't seem like he's doing it in a manner that's optimal, especially since if it's always 1k then he just have the formula direct to a single cell etc so i'm sure he's doing it in a wildly inefficient manner but i'm just saying i often take seemingly unnecessary steps now when building something new strictly because i know later on i'm going to be tweaking it and doing so is much easier when things are all comparmentalized
Agree that referencing a fixed cell so you can imput the value is a good idea and often better than hard coding the value in your formula. But repeating a value on every row of a column doesn't even seem to have flexibility in mind. It is just convoluted and boneheaded which is pretty much peak rice!!
