Personally i dont trust one single thing that comes out of Diesels big mouth, he has shown us time and time again that he is willing to barf up lies to make himself look better.

That being said, variance is a sicko bitch and its perfectly possible to run KK into AA 3 times in a 4 day period.

Its not just possible, i know it can happen for a fact cause ive done it 3 times in the same 8 hour session. I still remember the session, even though it is 5 years or so ago at Ceasars Palace. We had been travelling for 20+ hours, this was the first session i played after arriving in Vegas. Nice warm welcome from the pokergods, KK into AA for stacks 3 times in the same session.

Basically, unless you have played thousands of hours you dont know how dark/unbelieveable variance can become sometimes.

Sir, you are missing the point. There are plenty of low end options in the north east that he likely could have gotten money for and which would have made far more sense than shipping out to Nebraska for a low tier legal education.

you enjoy videos of Nomad's face in a parking garage next to the airport where he just complains about nitty variance for 5 minutes before asking you to subscribe to Patreon?

Part of his 48hrs with no room challenges. Which are becoming more and more frequent as his poker income has dried right up. But of course we are told by his "best friend" that he is sitting on incredible financial wealth.

For the month of April he is down $95 which isn't much but it's still another month with no poker income. He didn't even cash in that player appreciation tournament which he can usually count on for an easy $200

His no room vagrant challenges are getting hard to watch. Seeing him walk around with nothing to do but go to parks, look at food through windows he can't afford, buy the cheapest items at McDonald's to use their bathrooms and beg airport staff to let him on an earlier flight. Certainly challenging

Agreed. I also find it hilarious and cant stop laughing when i watch it. Look how exhausted he looks in the end, its like he can barely stand on his own feet without falling asleep standing.

This last one was particularly depressing. He didn't even watch half a baseball game like he did in 2 previous homeless challenges. It felt like he was literally just killing time the entire day.

So many cool things to do and see in SF but he had such a tight budget that he couldnt afford the transport costs to do anything other than walk just around where he got off from the BART (and even that was using up credit he had leftover from last time he was there LOL)

No. I enjoy watching an obviously smart and creative guy spin tales about an existence that I would never lead myself. I don’t know what is true and what is not in his stories, but his videos are very compelling. As are train wrecks. It seems as though you watch them, too, so perhaps you agree. It’s fascinating to watch someone struggle, barely eke out an existence, document the whole thing , and insist that his struggles are actually choice and his stumbles are actually evidence of his genius. Not every poker player is a crusher and here’s a guy willing to prove that via his own vlog all while declaring that he’s crushing it. The whole thing is fascinating.

Diesel is an idiot as far as how to run a business in general and how to run an airline in particular. He can't understand why airlines don't drop prices drastically right before the flight is going to take off and there's empty seats while at the same time wanting to paid more to be able to leave earlier. He really can't see the world from any other perspective but his own.

If airlines decided to drop prices on flights right before takeoff, what incentives do passengers have to buy tickets in advance? They will just show up at the airport when they are ready to leave and basically get on standby on the next flight out. And since no one would book in advance, every single flight would be empty till it's time to sell to standby passengers at the cheapest possible fare.

By far the most remarkable thing about Rice is his supreme confidence (putting it nicely, more like arrogance) even in the face of an entire lifetime of evidence to suggest that he should be anything but. I daresay were it not for that, there wouldn't be 1/10th the amount of discussion/interest surrounding him in this thread and most of us probably wouldn't even watch his videos.

I watched this video because multiple people posted it here in the thread. it was the first video I watched in a month since the last time I tried and was disgusted then.
I've watched less than 20 of Diesel's vlogs videos ever and the words are "boring as hell," not fascinating.

Totally agree. Most people who were in Rice's position and decided to battle on with the plan to play low stakes poker and live like a bum would be quite self deprecating about the situation and acknowledge how broke they were. Rice on the other hand remains unbelievably smug thinking that he has it all figured out more than everyone else and that he is narrowing down on an early retirement. Utterly remarkable

You are squarely on the record as not watching or liking his videos.

I've had things like that happen in a single session

not at all a weird thing IMO and i don't think he'd make that up
