Hi all,

Just got back from Las Vegas yesterday

Came back a winner which is nice.

Stayed at the Aria which was AMAZING.

I was very unhappy with how I lacked planning on this trip to realize the 5 diamond was going on so I couldn’t play at the bellagio ‘much at alland almost played exclusively at aria which I don’t like nearly as much.

I’m in the process of planning my next few trips

Would April and September be a good time?

I like December and it’s extremely cheap l, however, I really want to assure I can play at the bellagio and they don’t have some tournament going on.

Thank you all!

First of all, if you want to play in a room and it is real busy, that seems like a great thing as there is a lot of $$ flowing. Second, if the room is busy, call ahead, up to 60 minutes, get on the list you are interested in. Third, there was so much money flying around in that room last week (I was there also and loved it) it was a great thing (kind of back to the first point.

If you did not like this past week, certainly dont go in Jun or July of any year. August/Sept would be about the slowest time of the year so if you want slow, yeah, Sep would be a great time for ya, good luck.

I hate aria ‘s room so much honestly it’s not as good as people say

I agree it’s good but with the 5 diamond I couldn’t get a seat form Tuesday-Thursday in the room if I got lucky I was able to play in the sports book twice

I heard no one plays at the Bellagio anymore because it is too crowded

It’s interesting to hear the different preferences people have for poker rooms. Personally I can’t stand Bellagio. Cramped room and staff that is bribed for seats. I’ve just never liked it. Aria though, I love it. Great chairs, great staff, and PLO running daily. What’s not to like? lol

With me, if I loose in a room that certainly causes me to not like the room, I am assuming that is the way it is for most rec players. I did not like Venetian at all the past few trips, this last time I did well there so now I like it again. LOL. The reason I like Bellagio is you get a lot of overseas guys with good stacks of money playing there, however, I do understand how crowded it is, especially in the sports book. Anyway, too each their own I suppose.

I hear you. I will admit, the three times I’ve played at Bellagio I believe I’ve lost all three times. With that said, I’ve had bigger losing trips at Aria and still love the place.

Now the Venetian, I refuse to ever play there again. Sadly it was my original fave, but they screwed me over on a poker rate about eight years ago. I emailed the poker room manager and left vm’s at least five times and never heard from her. After that, I black listed them.

There’s no crazy tournaments where the bellagio will be packed in late April/ early May and late September early October right?

That’s when I’m planning on going back

Sound like a reasonable time to be in Vegas?

I’ve gone in the winter 2x and summer 2x so interested in trying fall/spring

Dude, 5 diamond is like one of the best times to play poker. You just gotta get to the bellagio early. Like 9am early and secure your seat for rest of the day.
