we had some minor flash flooding yesterday... nothing really bad or news worthy, but I was out at RR area and snapped a couple nice memories.

Beautiful. That rainbow is so cool.

I remember driving back toward the strip from snowboarding at Mt. Charleston and seeing the most amazing double rainbow. I wish I had pictures!

I took this double outside my home many years ago... the double effect was much more dramatic live than the photo shows.

I was there the same day in the afternoon. I hiked Calico Tanks which I’m guessing is normally a dry river bed but was somewhat wet.

^My pics don’t show the wet river bed or rocks around there.

I have some pictures from Tuesday before in Death Valley with clouds against the mountains and the ride out towards Laughlin on 95.

I’ve been to Death Valley twice and both times it rained.

In Laughlin Wednesday evening they had some serious rain with flash flood warnings. Bartender told me it was the heaviest he’s seen in 40 years living there.

^Last pics are the aftermath of some flooding in the Aquarius parking lot the following morning.

When it was raining you could see the wash going into the Colorado river turning the water brown. Normally it’s a nice, clear greenish color like in the picture on the boat.

Timeless nighttime scene

Early '22, Mead was LOW

Walked across the lake to get a Strava map that showed me running on water

Smelled terrible, looked amazing, lots of fish skeletons/other animal life fossilized across the lakebed.

Have you ever been to the Railroad Trail? The views of Lake Mead from there are spectacular.

Ive been to RR trail, but it's been a while.
