I’m a fan of limit mix games up to 15-30. Heading to Vegas in a few weeks and randomly checking some rooms on Bravo at random times I’ve noticed a 4-8 mix at both Bellagio and Aria.

Is there a regular mix game appetite anywhere on the strip currently? Any crew that may play here on Tuesdays and there on Wednesday’s? Anything like that?

When I’m there I’ll be checking Bravo but wondering if there’s anything “regular” that’s been going off in certain places lately.

You may want to check The Orleans..that sounds like a likely place..

The Mirage has been having a 3-6 mix game going on Wednesday nights. Usually 1-2 tables starting between 7-10 pm and running pretty late

No mix except the Wed night tourney. Cash is all O8 only.

Aria has a lively consistent 4/8 and Mirage and TI has a lower limit game that is sporadic mostly mid week. Wynn has a 9/18 that is also hit or miss.

Best bet without going to nosebleeds is Aria.

I saw the admin was Karina Jett, who's active in Vegas but also busy - might be a few days is my guess?

Yes it's active. I guess the admin just hasn't gotten round to adding you.

If you are part of the other group (Mixed Game Poker in Las Vegas), most people cross-post in both groups for when games are starting, so I doubt you'll miss out on anything.

Aria and Bellagio the game goes randomly. Wednesday usually Mirage will have a 3/6 full of local poker dealers.

Sometimes TI will get their by other group of poker dealers.

Daily? Most likely Bellagio 20/40 mix.

Wynn gets a 9/18 mix here and there.

Like others have mentioned, those Facebook groups are the nuts to checking up/starting games.

Good luck!

How often does anything run between the 9/18 at the Wynn and the 40/80+ that runs at the Bellagio? I don't see the 20/40 at Bellagio in Bravo too often. And are those 20/40-40/80 games more traditional mixes or are they as crazy as the low stakes ones with the superstud and double board pineapple etc.? Seems like the higher stakes games are either more consistent or more crustry considering they so rarely get mentioned in those FB groups.

I will play mostly low and mid stakes NLH and PLO cash games this summer. But I made a goal to learn one more mixed game. What do people recommend?..easy game to pick up and acquire edge, beat the rake, +EV for life lol.

Please don't tell O8 Hi/Low, those are the most miserable people on the Earth.

Razz would be my suggestion because absolute and relative hand strengths are pretty similar, although there's still much more tactical depth in this game than many players give it credit. However, not sure how valuable winning straight-up razz will be to you overall. There are $1500 and $10,000 WSOP razzaments, so you could play those plus a few satties and maybe a 30/60 straight razz game will run around that time, but it's generally pretty rare to see razz played by itself or even at all in a live this these days. Others will hopefully give more practical answers.

This is a very active group with good response: https://www.facebook.com/groups/330166697042669/

They play $9-$18 (with $3 chips!) 2-3 sessions per week. You can see the games posted in the FB group. Hope to see you here!

Razz is the easiest game to learn.

If you wanna jump in and play the mixed games, the most popular newer choices include Archie (Triple Draw Hi-Lo with a Double Qualifier) and Drawmaha (Half Omaha, Half Draw High).

You can learn the framework of all the games at once because if you know how to play stud games, draw games, and flop games, all you need to learn is the nuts in each game, and you'll have a basic understanding of everything that is played in Vegas.
