Looking at their menu descriptions, I'd most likely go for the 5 course unless that signature dish is really memorable. Between 9 and 7 course it's that signature course and a 'foie gras signature'. I lifted my personal foie gras ban when we went to Tim Raue last year but that was probably a one time thing. Between 5 and 7 course there's an extra app and a cheese course. Most of the time I don't really care for the latter.

Re wine pairing, I think the premium option is almost never worth it. Partage might obviously be the exception to that rule though.
I’m not a big dessert guy but I think at the end of a 9 course tasting it’s going to not be some sugar filled heavy dish and I’m very interested in that. The addition of the foie gras alone I think is worth the extra dough between the 7 and 9. I also imagine the signature dish and the extra app are likely to be the more innovative, interesting offerings from the chef that I don’t want to miss. Unless you’re worried about time or too much food I’d go for the 9 if already committing to 5.

That being said, the wine pairing at L'Atelier and é have both been generous and quite good.
Sorry, for the confusion. I didn't advocate against getting a wine paring, just against the premium option over the regular one. That said, at Partage the premium option is still "only" $180 so maybe it's worth it. At least we're not talking about $650 (?) for the premium option at Robuchon.

You're fine. I re-read and you're right. We still might do the premium, but that is not my call.

White Negroni

Scallops ceviche with watermelon, lemon, and gazpacho

Tomato and bell pepper focaccia with smoked mozzarella ice cream and balsamic reduction

Quail stuffed with ham, quail egg, farrow risotto

Foie gras, puff pastry, pistachio

Kampachi, cashew, cocoa

wagyu, mushroom, celery root puree, and a biegnet

oxtail croquettes

gruyere, berry compote, croissant

banana bread with apple compote, vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle and edible gold

I had the 9 course and Gwen had the 7. We both had the 7 course wine pairing and I had the white Negroni. Total was $570. I really like that Partage lets you do different tasting options instead of forcing the whole table to the same choice.

It was phenomenal. The layering of flavors was very nice. My only complaint was that the gruyere course was too heavy.

Sorry for the quality of the photos, but I had to reduce the size because the wifi here is not great.

Looks awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Good decision on the Negroni, it's international Negroni Week.

If you skip the wine pairing it's great value. Even still.. no complaints here.

Hey, i peek this thread from time to time but definitely not up to date by any means, so if anyone can give a little advice that would be appreciated. So in about a week, im headed back to vegas and its with my inlaws. Its their first time ever to Vegas and they are from Panama. So basically they are going to be blown away by probably anything ever posted in this thread, the bar is super low. One night Id definitely like to go somewhere for a nice dinner, because of what i said above, i think it would be a waste to over spend at something super high end as they wont really appreciate the difference much but still looking for a nice experience and quality. Those tasting menus look appealing, maybe thats the play to get a variety of things? (originally i was thinking a steak house)

any recommendations/tips/advice would be awesome... itll likely be a mid week thing

Steak house is the safe bet. My inlaws (from the South so not that different from a developing country) were blown away when I took them to Ruth Chris for the first time.

If they're staying at Venetian I would definitely take them to Cut.

"Worth the money" is always relative but Cut is fantastic in my opinion. That said, last time I went it had moved up from my personal "expensive" category to "very expensive". IIRC the cheapest steak + 1 side option is >$100 these days.

I agree it's relative, but if given the choice between a non steakhouse on the strip being ~$70 or a steak at a high end steakhouse being $90+, I choose the high end steakhouse option almost every time.

I think when we went to CUT 2 years ago it was around $650 for the 4 of us including a tomahawk and a bone-in strip with sides and a drink a person.

But if they haven't been to Vegas and are staying at the Venetian, then just pick whatever type of food you like.... there's just so many good restaurants.

Suppose you had a wealthy relative visiting and they wanted to go to the best steakhouse, regardless of cost.

Which one would you choose?

There's no one steakhouse that's way more expensive than all the other ones and at a different quality level. There's no Joel Robuchon type place where you drop $1k/person on the big menu with wine paring. If anything, it's the other way round. All high end steakhouses on the Strip are priced relatively similar for comparable items.

So it comes down to personal preference and what kind of steak you want to get. If you're paying out of pocket for you and your family at Cut, you might appreciate everyone sticking in the $90-120 range for their steak. If your billionaire uncle is paying maybe go for a 10oz Kobe steak for $600 and add a lobster on the side.

Bizarre Meats might be a good choice for the 'best steakhouse regardless of cost' option.

great steaks, cool 'in kitchen' atmosphere, and to run up the bill you can combine them with the multi hundred dollar tasting menu with cotton candy fois gras type of dishes as well.

Any places on the strip to get a good steak at $50 or less? Doesn’t need to be fancy

This is a great question and unfortunately I don't have an answer. Any preference on the cut?

Last time I went to Outback at Casino Royale they still had steaks starting around $30 and prime quality steaks from $50ish.

Herbs and Rye probably doesn't qualify as on the strip, but they are close-ish, and they do 50% off steaks during happy hour, which would bring them in under price, so that the savings may pay for your uber.
