Caesars comp dollars: we always have fun blowing them at Raos.

Might be too late now, so make alternative plans.

Thanks. I too assumed it was a true rolling 3 months so had looked exactly 3 months out but didn’t come back at the first of the next month.

I will contact their wait list. I just want a single seating so maybe I have a chance.

I would call or email directly if trying to book for one. I know tock lists some nights / doesnt allow bookings for one at certain places. Your success rate for calling in will be higher in any case anyway

Enjoyed dinner at Kaiseki Yuzu on Spring Mnt. Rd yesterday and were deeply impressed.

You choose between three differently priced menus ($100, $150, and $200) with same basic structure but varying quality of ingredients. As first timers we went for the mid-priced option, and found that across the board presentation, flavors, and service was high grade.

Several of the courses were unusually imaginative and truly outstanding in taste, incl. the Yakimono grilled wagyu ribeye course and the Agemono shiso leaf and snapper tempura dish. We will be back.

Robuchon has always reheated your first bread serving and doesnt otherwise unless you ask. First service bread came not even lukewarm and because were dining on the strip the bread that’s on the cart in the open room is just cold otherwise. Not room temp. It’s cold. Its exactly the same as a couple years ago but with an addition of a vegan / gluten free bread

Plating across the board is super samey looking and because you’re often getting three plates at a time, often times in similar looking / shaped plates it really shows. I’d even say it verges on sloppy at times.

My partner got the vegetarian menu and one of the dishes was one of my dishes minus the foie gras. The dish was originally created to have foie gras. Feels pretty scammy tbh. Only gave one cake to take home afterwards so had to chop it up before we went home. It was dry, inexcusably dry

I’ll go back. It was their first night of service and the menu was quite different from my last visit, but these are some pretty serious strikes I think. FOH service was top notch

What about L'Atelier? I have that booked in a couple weeks.

My wife is vegetarian. I see Robuchon has a vegetarian tasting menu, but that's not really our type of restaurant. What is the best fine dining on the strip that has good vegetarian options on the menu while still having great options for non-vegetarians?

I'm in the same boat as you. We love Sinatra and Spago as two of our usual trip reservations. Also, it's not exactly fine dining (not quite casual either), but Best Friend in Park MGM is surprisingly awesome for veg options considering it's a BBQ joint.

Just to clarify, do you mean for a pescetarian? I haven't been to Matteos but Milo's vegetarian (no meat or seafood) options on the menu sound pretty meh.

Think the veg apps there are genuinely good. I’d ask server if the grilled mushrooms come with hen of the woods / maitake that day and you’d be able to make a full meal out of that / other apps I reckon.

Last time I was there I ate vegetarian sans a few oysters and was definitely satisfied

Someone really needs to update the original post as I think it is out of date.

Shortly after I made that post, they emailed me and asked about the restrictions. Turns out her meal wasn't wildly different; the subs I can remember were:

Taro cracker for oyster cracker
Beet wrap for ham wrap
tomato dish (one of her favorites) for mussels

The beet and tomato substitutions seem really good.

Was there a crab course? If so, what was the substitution?

I went to Prime Steakhouse inside the Bellagio (twice) for the first time in my life last month. Overall, I was very impressed with the food and service. Honestly, I could never afford to go there until recently.

The first night I went, I ordered the the Wedge salad, F1 New York strip, and mashed potatoes. The second night I ordered the Wedge salad, F1 Filet Mignon, Mac and Cheese, and warm chocolate cake for dessert. Everything I ordered was absolutely incredible. The highlights being the Filit Mignon and the Mac and Cheese.

I took a buddy with me the second night, and he really enjoyed his meal as well. The next time I go to Vegas, I will definitely go back!

Hi. I took advantage of the Wynn Status Match which means in September I'll get a $300 dining credit to use at the Wynn.

I'm not really familiar with the restaurants at the Wynn so I'm looking for any recommendations. The goal is to use the whole credit on one meal for two people. Cocktails yes, Wine no.

Suggestions?

Very happy to hear this. We're booked for dinner there later this month. Was concerned about the drop off hitting all of the NJ restaurants these days. We don't mind paying for a premium meal, but we have expected great service as well as great food. These days, we do a lot of casual, as the reviews locally aren't great at this time.

I do enjoy a small variety of salads, including the wedge. Mac and Cheese is also likely to make it's way to the table.

Tell me more about the F1. I wasn't planning to do any F1 steaks, I kind of wish you had similar cuts with one F1 and the other not. I suppose I could run really well at the table prior to dinner, but likely I'll go dry aged ribeye, or we'll share the porterhouse.

I saw a WSJ article today about MGM auctioning off some of their art collection (specifically Picasso). It didn't mention it, but will this bring a change to the restaurant?

Reuters article included the following:
Quote:
The Picasso works up for auction include five paintings, some of which were displayed for years in the Bellagio’s fine dining restaurant, Picasso. The restaurant will continue to show an additional 12 Picasso works.
And also as the reason for the auction:
Quote:
“We are committed to creating an even more inclusive collection that maintains the breadth of our existing portfolio while giving a greater voice to artists from under-represented communities,” Ari Kastrati, chief hospitality officer at MGM Resorts, said in a statement.
Whatever that means..

I’ve been to Picasso but I definitely don’t remember any of the paintings. I might be in the minority but I really don’t care if the art changes as long as the food stays top tier

I agree that I don't care much as long as the food stays the same, but not remembering any of the paintings seems odd. I'm not a big art person, but it's a fantastic feature to the restaurant.
