Posted in meetup thread but this seems like a good place for it too

I have 3 spots open for E by Jose Andres on the 6th of July at 5:30. I have booked the entire table of 9. Should be all poker players.

You will need to commit to your seat and be responsible for paying for it if you do not show up. Price for food is $250 per person.

Picasso happens to be closed the weekend I'm coming to Vegas in July.

Any recommendations for a similar type of tasting menu experience? I don't really expect anything to top Picasso but just want to have a nice meal.

Notes:

Prefer not a steakhouse
Been to L'atelier, was not super impressed the one time I went.
Open to all types of food.

I,

OpenTable is your friend

I really like blue ribbon.

Edit: tell the server price is not an issue and to send out whatever the chef recommends.

Quick summary of recent trip:

"e": Totally worth it. I think it might have been more enjoyable than Picasso; comparatively priced and more variety. I thought they could have had more "main dish" type dishes besides a fish, a prawn, and a beef. I didn't get the wine pairing (options: $130, $500, I think maybe $1000? or was the highest $500?), but for those who did, it didn't seem that it was worth it, given the size of the pours and the number of glasses. I had two glasses and you could have easily ordered 5-8 glasses for the price of the lowest pairing. Maybe it wouldn't have been as ideally paired, but it seemed like a better deal to me.

STK was excellent. It is not conducive to bar eating because it seemed really cramped, so I got a table.

Bouchon: always great, I had the seafood platter. The oysters were probably the best I'd ever had in my life. The mussels: after trying a second one that was clearly spoiled, I didn't eat the others. I brought this to the attention of my server, who didn't discount the meal in any way but did mention "Well, mussels really aren't in season." OK, then why are they on my platter? I also had eggs benedict for breakfast. The eggs were perfect but the muffins were too hard in my opinion.

Mon Ami Gabi: Breakfast. Salmon Eggs Benedict. I enjoyed this more than the Bouchon benedict.

Roku Sushi at Caesar's: I had the lunch special on two separate occasions. High quality sushi for $23 (6-7 pieces). Nice spot, not too crowded at lunch. I sat at the bar.

Oyster Bar at Harrah's: I had shrimp scampi, which doesn't qualify as fine dining, but it was really good comfort food. I liked the creamy sauce for the linguini. Usually I get oysters, but after Bouchon I knew they would be disappointing. This was my last meal before going to the airport.

Ugh, love bouchon, but that's just terrible in multiple ways.

It turns out that I suck at tourney poker, so I ended up with an extra free night for dinner. I'll write a more detailed review later, but we've done Chada, Yui Edomae, China Poblano (a sentimental favorite) and have é booked for tonight. Looking for something solid for Monday night. A downtown location would be ideal since we're planning to booze it up low roller style afterwards, but anywhere is fine. I'm feeling like I might have hit the wall on fine dining so a small plates concept would be what I'm thinking. Anybody tried Firefly, CRUSH or Fleur? I'd pick Jaleo but 3 Jose Andres stops is crazy.

If you're going for small plates downtown and not fancy isn't Carson Kitchen the obv choice?

Guys I need help. I have a decent amount of TR credits and I'm trying to figure out a place to burn them at a caesars property. I'll be dining solo. I'm not really in to steakhouses and I'm not looking to go to the Guy Savoy level. I'm from Chicago and I consider myself fairly adventurous eater. Unfortunately the food options look kinda boring.

My last "big meal" at a caesars property was Nobu, which I found to be kinda disappointing.

Any recommendations? I'm considering Searsucker. It looks solid, but uninspired.

Thanks in advance!

The problem with CET cash ins is that it's either Savoy or Fieri it seems. Not much worth the in between. Maybe try Ramsay's place at Paris? I've never been there though so it could all easily be name hype.

You could drop a fair amount at Hash House I guess but we are far from fine dining at this point. The only CET restaurants that I think apply are def Savoy and then maybe Ramsay Steak and Eiffel Tower depending on your opinion of eating a solid 7 meal in a replica of a landmark for high prices.

Enjoyed bazaar meats tasting menu last night, felt like we got to try everything and the service was excellent. Seemed like SLS is dead and they are begging people to come there.

+1 to using your comps at Mesa Grill. Haven't been to Searsucker. Mon Ami Gabi for brunch? Certainly not fine dining, but...

Did they change the tasting menus? I looked at them last fall and one seemed to be a compilation of all the stuff you get at his other restaurants and the other one had foie gras / caviar / oysters, which wasn't really what I was looking for.

We did the limited tasting menu last trip at GR Paris, $145 and 4 courses. The vibe is more trendy casual and the food/service was much better than expected. Beef Wellington and Toffee Pudding were great. Had a nice touch of a signed menu by GR with the number of the tasting.

Mesa Grill is always solid and has a great bar for solo dining too.
