My experience at Milos was very good food, but very poor service staff. I havent eaten there in months, I dont have lunch time available for dining usually, and dinner is ridiculously expensive at Milos what they provide. Are you still here? The Mix game is bumping up to 20/40, big bet games have been added now that Don is in Asia.

So, Mundo was really good. If anyone is looking for an excuse to get downtown for dinner this place is it. The Mojito was amazing, the sangria was good.

In order of best dishes we got:
Shrimp Tamale
Seabass
Carnitas
Pork Tenderloin
Skirt Steak
Scallops
Sweet Corn Tamale

The appetizers were all good and the deserts were ridic. Excellent choice TT.

Seabass and scallops were off the hook, as was the street sweet corn. Everything we tasted was good, the only thing that was just average was the sangria - it was good, but it wasn't in the same class as the rest of the meal. The yurba buena mojito was one of the best I have ever had, for desert the tres leches cake and the churros were the best I have ever had (the churros were even better than China Poblano which also rocks).

But I think the most important thing you left out was the atmosphere. We ate outside, it is such a beautiful courtyard. If you are a fan of minimalist design, ultra-modern office buildings then you will be in heaven. We all predicted many a late night drink or meal here during the series, its a great place to spend the night outdoors.

I got the scallop as the first course and it was fine. I can't recall which seafood options were available for the 2nd course... One was octopus but it cost extra.

The service has pretty much always been terrible at Milo's, so as long as you don't mind waiting its good value lunch I suppose

Does anyone have some kind of tour guide for a group dinner at China Poblano? Every time I go, I fail to picture a direction for the meal, so I just get a la carte and inevitably some dishes aren't going to jive well after others.

Good article in the Las Vegas Sun newspaper listing the top 50 must-have meals. Its a pretty good list, I disagree about the ordering but they came pretty close to nailing it. Impressive!

Not only is he the premier foodie in our humble burg, but he is also an old school lowball player from the days when Gardenia was the center of the poker universe. Good guy, good writer, great palate, plays poker. Gotta love him!

My mom is coming to town for a week for Mother's Day/Bday and I have a few places already planned (Bouchon brunch, Milos lunch, Lotus, etc.) I want to take her to a few really nice dinners & I'm def doing Picasso but need some recommendations for one or two other places; preferably a lil less expensive. Thoughts??

RM Seafood is really underrated imo. Fleur is also great and a bargain too.

Yeah, that's a good list I must agree, especially considering how controvertial any such list is bound to be to like 100% of readers. Having the diner in White Cross on there is pretty amazing. One doesn't go there for the food, which kinda sucks even when grading on a curve, but its a part of Vegas and it's great to see it on there.

Aw, nice guy itt! To mix it up a bit, what about afternoon tea at the Tea Lounge in Mandarin Oriental? I really enjoyed it, and my Mom loves to go out for tea.

Sage > B&B, and I like Gobbo's suggestion of RM. Bartolotta if you want to spend a bit more.

Also, when I said RM Seafood I mostly meant RM Upstairs (there are two restaurants there, the upstairs one is fine dining with the downstairs one being more casual) but both would be fine. The upstairs one has a pretty amazing tasting menu if you're willing to drop like $125 a person or you can just order ala carte.

the name is escaping me, but i went to that one seafood(ish) restaurant across from jean phillipe in the bellagio recently, and it was god-awful. $20.00 = ~8 mussels.

the tasting menu at RM upstairs is the 2nd best meal of my life behind french laundry

but maybe thats because i name dropped gobbo AND my table was 1 of 2 being serviced in the entire room at 8pm o_0

And was it god-awful because 8 mussels cost $20 or god-awful because it was god-awful? Because I had a nice meal there.

It's been a couple of years, but our last visit to Sensi included

- sloppy in-attentive service
- uninspired, bland, and poorly executed courses
- a way too high check.

Michael Mina, Jasmine, and Picasso in increasing order would be my fav Bellagio eateries.

I feel the list was very well balanced between the must have experiences that all walks of life would appeal to. Sure, there are some places I would have added or subtracted, but thats just a matter of personal taste. I cannot argue that they made any bad decisions on that list except for including the Bellagio buffet and leaving out the Cosmo's buffet, and even that is pretty minor. Considering how different our tastes are, it makes this list even better knowing that we can both embrace the list for the quality of the curating.

PS: I White Cross! Yes it could be (a lot) better, but the location is legendary its pretty good for what it is. Knowing that Elvis used to sit on the same stools while picking up his pills is pretty cool.

PPS: I rank Sensi at the same level as I would rank Todd English. I would eat at both places for solid and efficient sustenance, they both provide good meals, but I would not go out of my way for either restaurants. Its food, not an experience, but I would have no problems taking out of town visitors who are not that interested in dining to either location.

1) How does it's location and scenic views compare to Okada? Better, worse?
2) How is the new chef compared to the guy that ran Okada? I've heard he has more experience.
3) How's the menu look? Better than Okadas?

My guess, more of the same. Same spot, same cuisine. Really it seems the only reason they renamed/rebranded was to get Okada's name off the door since he's no longer BFF with Steve Wynn.

Hi Everyone,

I just booked tickets to see Zumanity at New York New York for 6/20 at 10:00 pm. Can someone recommend a good restaurant for dinner before the show?

Here are some points to help narrow it down:

I'd ideally like to find a place that would be an easy walk to the show as opposed to having to get in a cab.

I'm not really concerned about cost, although I'll set a rough upper limit at $100 per person to give you something to go on (don't feel compelled to reach the limit, closer to $50 per person would be great). We're not big drinkers - one glass of wine each is probably the most we'd have, so all of the dollars can go towards food.

We like all types of food, but I'll exclude a steakhouse. My wife much prefers seafood, chicken, or pasta. If there's an upscale Mexican restaurant that fits the bill, I'd love to hear about it.
