Eaten there many times, and never been disappointed.

Had the Bone-in-Filet & New York Strip last year, and both were very good.

Carnevino was the third best steak place at that property, not much of a loss

Are they just going to rename the places but largely keep them the same? That’s what I would expect, could be wrong of course.

It was empty last night st 8pm, even in Vegas being a serial rapist is bad for business apparently.

Having Sheldon Adelson decide you're too big a piece of **** to do business with is impressive.....

I wonder if this is really on principle. I assume people were voting with their feet, so to speak, and that ending the relationship was because they can put something more profitable in. Certainly B&B is prime real estate and could be repurposed into something awesome. Did love their grilled octopus though. RIP.

Is carnevino closed? Supposed to be having some riserva steak for a bachelor party next week. Do I need to change plans?

Curious what they’ll do with the beef they are currently ageing and that whole facility.

Thoughts on going to a restaurant that’s closing soon? Everyone phoning it in could make it a poor experience but alternatively if people don’t care and bartenders start doing 1.5x pours or other freebies, I’d be in

I think your logic is sound. Visit the bar, order a couple favorites for the last time.

I doubt it, otherwise they wouldn’t have kicked out Joe Bastianich. Pretty sure he would have been willing to continue to operate the places under different names.

They might look for a different celebrity chef to lend his name to a concept there.

Michael Symon might have extra time since they canceled The Chew and is already opening a BBQ restaurant at Palms and apparently has multiple restaurants planned at Station Casinos.

Going to Vegas this week, heading out tonight. Doing the trip solo, might meet up with people but generally planning on dining solo. Restaurant advice/thoughts would be much appreciated.

Definite:
Kabuto (is there another good off-Strip omakase spot? I think I heard that but hitting up Kabuto for sure)
Chada

Maybe:
Lotus
Bouchon (prob just for breakfast?)
Picasso (never been but doesn’t seem like the best for going solo?)
Sage
Nobu (I think there is a Caesar’s and a Hard Rock, which do people prefer?)
Twist

You are a 3 days late for Chada..

For going solo, L’Atelier is probably a better spot than Picasso?

Damn, I guess Lotus for sure then. Good to know, thanks lex.

Sage is one my fave solo spots, great bar

Picasso indeed a poor choice for solo, L’Atelier much better

I have never understood why Yui Edomae Sushi doesn't get more love on this forum. Orig Katuto chef Gen Mizoguchi's own place. Outstanding.

BTW, you are also missing Raku on your list.
