The first few weeks of WSOP there's no better value than the $235 daily deepstack. Sometimes it can go a straight 16 hours but $18-20k multiway chops can happen and Colossus weekend you'll see $30k+ for 1st. It's a real bankroll builder.

For me, the best thing about Vegas Poker in June is a lot of the casinos have special poker tournament series', with buy-ins in the $150-$600 range for us mid-level tournament players.

Downtown, check out The Golden Nugget Grand Series and the Binion's Dog Days of Summer series.

On/Near the Strip, check out the Aria, Wynn, Venetian, The Orleans, Planet Hollywood, etc for their tournament offerings from late May to early July.

Lots of great $150-$600 tournaments, with excellent structures, for those of us who can't afford the WSOP $1,500 buy-ins..

Yup, see the Tournament Events forum to find a post by spacey, where he has put all the tournaments that will run (other than the usual dailies) in a spreadsheet.

Wouldn't choose to play mtts biased on the 1st place prize if your trying to make $$. Your there for a week and want to try and bink a good score then sure good for it.

Clearly was not talking $75 dailies lol You can achieve a much bigger hourly playing 2/5 then playing that high rake hyper turbo at the rio with way less variance. Just because 1st place is big doesn't mean its super valuable is all i am saying.

If your not looking for the best hourly game and just hoping to bink a good score then ya sure play these things.

Uhm... no. Last year belagio and aria had waiting lists 50 deep for 1/3 and 2/5.

I made the same experience in the past but others convinced me it was mostly an Aria/Bellagio thing and lists at other poker rooms weren't nearly as bad.

I've been watching the last few days and saw there are at the Venetian, Caesars and Golden Nugget a lot of 1/2 tables, without so long waiting lists.

Yes, plenty of tables to support all that at the same time. Except during a few events like the collosus, etc ...

Aside from the outliers, I've experienced comparable toughness of games vs elsewhere
