i don't get the hate for the sliders. they have too much bun and onion but are delicious if you remove half of each.

Sliders are good imo. I agree the buns are slightly too big, no complaint about anything else though. I don't think that's salt you're tasting fwiw.

come on you know if the dual augies leave sliders sitting on a plate they are not good. maybe they just screwed up the sauce that night and normally its good!

Not sure how this hasn't come up yet but Joyful House on Spring Mountain is the nuts for Chinese... it's served family style and every dish I've had there has been phenomenal.

+1 to Bachi Burger on Windmill/Bermuda... reasonably priced and incredible burgers. I heard the owner used to be a chef in a fine dining restaurant and branched off on his own to start up this little gem piece.

For tapas Jaleo at Cosmo > Firefly IMHO... although it can get a bit pricey depending on what you order. I work there so I've had all the dishes and can vouch for just about anything on the menu. The Rossejat is a pasta paella which is basically just fried pasta but is def my fav dish on the menu.

I'm still struggling to find any place with bar food that's blown me out of the water.... I frequent PT's for their boneless wings but that's more of a matter of convenience of location than anything else. I tried Gordon Biersch (sp?) the other night and the garlic fries were solid but that was about it. BJ's is decent as well

After doing a bunch of reading I have selected a few great places to eat at. I hate looking at menus because everything always looks good.

I will prolly only be visiting each place once, so can anyone make a onetime menu selection for me? What is your fave meal to order at each place?

The crispy duck over noodles at Lotus of Siam was pretty good.

This answer might be more qualified for the fine-dining thread, but I really like Aureole for desserts (~$10 each). The house-made ice cream is the best I've ever had in the Vegas.

Yea, off the high roller list, but for dessert only it wiill score well with a significant other. The Eiffel Tower in the Paris Hotel - ask for a table with a view of the Bellagio fountain - go late and set up the timing so that you know for sure that the fountains will go off while you are having your dessert.

Sit at the "sushi bar" section in Le Atilier (sp?) in the MGM.

u can sit at the bar at most restaurants and order only dessert, no? never tried.
