Although the pokers did not go so well, the food I had sure was good. Thanks for all of the tips.

Noodle Asia at Venetian was very solid, had some singapore noodles(had to add some spice) and hargar (shrimp dumplings) and was satisfied. Affordable as well.

Holstein's for lunch was very good. Had a strawberry shake and the gold standard burger with shoestring fries. The shake was good. The burger was amazing (bacon and aioli were awesome). The fries were very good as well. The popcorn was a nice touch. Was so good, we came back for dinner the next night. Had the Rising Sun (avacado tempura and the teriyake glaze were a great idea) and sweet potato fries and it might have been even better. The service was a bit slow however. A little expensive, but that's Vegas.

The pizza place at Cosmo was very good as well. Had a piece of white pizza and supreme. The slices are huge and the toppings were good as well. Went again on Sunday for lunch but the pizza wasn't heated enough.

Went to some deli place(Zettegrino's?) at Venetian. 10 special for seafood salad and a sandwich. Food was decent but a floorman knocked over most of my salad, sigh. Also ate at Cafe Vettro at Aria. Had the BBQ Salmon. Was pretty decent but expensive. Service also was slow. Used comps, so can't complain too much. Finally, ate at Grand Lux, and it was decent as expected. But god damn, they use way too much oil in the pasta. When I took the leftover box oil, the bag and box were doused in oil. When I got back home to Jersey, the same thing happened. When I microwaved the food. it was crackling loudly due to the high oil content. Whatever, it was to be expected.

I was laughing so hard when i read that but figured it must be a misunderstanding. Is it even possible to be so cheap that u bring leftovers from Vegas to NJ? Whats made it even more funny is that the pasta was only decent tasting in his opinion.

I only brought it as something to eat on the plane ride. I didn't end up eating it, so I ate it later. Sorry I don't like to waste food idiot (Bommen). I'm sure a cheap person would eat several $30+ meals (with generous tip), spend almost $100 on a jacket and t-shirt, and buy tons of overpriced drinks. But thanks for your input.

any time you have a chance to eat mediocre food at room temperature at 35000 feet you have to . . . . . pass.

then heat that **** up 3 time zones away and take it to pound town

there are plenty of homeless people that would have loved your left-overs.
why not give the left overs to someone on the street rather then pack em up and take em on the plane?

i'm not trying to give you a hard time whatsoever just giving you an alternative in the future as i often have leftovers that i don't want to waste but know i'm not going to enjoy later so i give it to homeless people and they are always super stoked.

If you take leftovers on a plane, heat them up 1500 miles later, then bitch about it because it was crackling in the microwave yet eat it anyway you are...???????

There is no answer where "acdawg from 'shiiiiiiiip'" ends up looking good. I could have told you that based on name and location anyway.

Good point, but this was at 1 am my last night in town. I went straight back to my hotel, slept, and went straight to the airport the next day. Next time, I will definitely give it to someone who will enjoy it more than me.

Also, I never complained how it tasted when I got back home. I merely said they added way too much oil. Thanks for all of the assumptions though, you're all gonna go far in life.

It must have had less than 3 ounces of oil or it wouldn't have made it through security.

Confirmed very good post.

Hey gobbo, I was the asian kid who said hi at Aria last Friday when you were trying to give cookies to your friend and his girlfriend at 1/3 NL. Sorry for the awkward greeting haha. Meant to ask you for some food suggestions but was stuck a good amount that day. Perhaps during WSOP I'll PM you or something...

No problem, always good to meet a 2p2er. My advice is don't think grand lux is anything special at all.

Haven't been there, and I'm gonna go ahead and tell you you're wrong anyway.

+1. Nothing good can come out of going into the IP. If you're insistent on HHaGG, I imagine going to the other one is better as well.

Mostly Grand Lux is special because it's free if you've played much at the Venetian.

p4b's quote sums up my thoughts haha. I had it last series, it was meh as well, but close to the poker room. Where should I use my comps/eat at Venetian? They wouldn't let me use my card directly at Noodle Asia, but I feel like had I asked the desk, they would have given me a voucher.

My rep isn't high here obviously, but I had some beef and chicken there that I thought was good. Expensive to me, but standard vegas prices.

I did not, sigh. I'll keep that in mind the next time when a floor person renders my food inedible I don't like to be too full playing poker anyway so that's why the thought didn't occur to me. Btw, Zettegrino's or whatever (far right most deli at Venetian food court) had a solid deal. Pick 2 things out 7 (half sandwich, salad, soup?) for only 10. Given that my sandwich was 12 and salad 9, I thought it was a good deal unless they gave half portions which is fine anyway.

Of course sir. How can I talk ill of someone who appeared on Live at the Bike in its heyday and is otherwise a legend. Your advice will be heeded in the future and directed at those who misquoted me, and even then, shouldn't be insulting me over not being wasteful. I do feel bad for the homeless people, at this point in my life, I'm not sure whether to give them money or not since I'm not sure if they'll just go buy alcohol or drugs with it.

The comps that they issue at the poker room desk are good at a number of restauramts on the property, including Palazzo. Best thing to do is pick out 2 or 3 places you want to go, and find out at the desk when you ask for your comp. You need to have a place picked out because they put it on the comp. I used one at the Mexican place at the Palazzo, which is a fairly high-end place.
