You'll be fine, and at most restaurants you can eat at the bar if you want.

Anyone try the Heart Attack Grill yet? I've been meaning too since it opened but I'm not a big fan of downtown. If the food really tastes good enough to kill you, it's worth it

I'm a girl living in Vegas and I eat alone all the time (OK-homely, ugly, whatever). It's not a big deal. Grab yourself the latest copies of Card Player, Bluff, Poker Pages, Casino Player and Ante Up (available in card rooms), and hunker down for good food anywhere you want.

It's always good to carb-load before a long session.

the wine follies were the best part. we ended up buying some $35 bottle after he unsuccessfully tried to sell us a bottle that was over $100 (bad read buddy!). we finished the wine and he asked us if we would like another bottle.

everyone had their fill, so we declined. then, he came back 5 minutes later with bottle in hand and asked again. we declined again, and he said "ok no problem, i'll just leave the bottle sitting over here in case you change your mind."

then he came back to the table for a third time and asked again, knocking the price down to $25. we declined. he also gave the girl at our table a free glass of some other ****ty stuff that nobody liked.

10 minutes later he asked a record-setting fourth time if we would like another bottle, reducing the price to $20!! we were unbelievably polite and declined yet again. i told him we're holding out until it's $5.

re-telling this story it seems like something from a bad comedy movie, but i assure you that this really happened. we joked about haggling on our entree prices but i think that we actually should have...
Awesome, I have a groupon for this place. I'm pretty excited to get a show also.

Lucio is quite good for an offstrip upper class dining place but yes the service is a bit amateurish.

I was looking on restaurant.com and ran across a place called Sergio's Italian Gardens by UNLV. Was looking for a place that won't crack the wallet but still has good Italian and I could eat by myself. Reviews seem good, anyone eat there that can give some insight? I'll be in LV Sat through Tuesday night and already have Monday night set aside for Golden Steer so I'm looking for some less expensive places to eat for the remainder of trip since I'm going without the wife. FWIW, we've eaten at Piero's, and my opinion of that place is that it's decent but way overpriced. Also, if anyone has any other recommendations for a place I can go by myself (maybe even w Groupon or restaurant.com) and not break the bank, I'm all ears. Preferences:

Seafood
Mexican (authentic, not Tex Mex)
Italian.

No Indian or sushi. Asian okay, but not strictly noodle places.

Also, is Cafe Heidelberg any good? I know Hofbrauhaus is, we have one about 90 min from where I live. Also, Pampelmousse French food?

Thanks guys!

Sergio's is good. I went there once with my gf a long time ago. I don't remember it being particularly cheap, but I do remember it being good.

Wondering if anyone knows an excellent sushi place that offers a bunch of cucumber wrapped rolls? Or at least a few. And also a place thats has a good/large sushi bar to sit and watch the chefs. In my opinion, thats part of the fun of eating sushi. Here on the east coast, the sushi bars are super small, maybe can seat 10 people if your lucky.

Todd English's Pub has the best Turkey Burger and I love The Pink Taco at the Hard Rock for an awesome lunch.

Anyone have recommendations for CET restaurants? I did the rewards race and have a bunch of comp dollars to use.

Hmmm...since Bradley Ogden closed/is closing I can't think of any decent place to eat at their properties. I guess Mesa Grill's decent enough for free. Can't think of anything worth eating at Bally's, Paris, Harrah's, Flamingo, etc.

Beijing noodle no 9 at caesars is legit. They recently poached a chef from China Mama. Payard at Caesars does a solid brunch. Small menu but what they have is competitive with Bouchon imo. Awesome quiche. Mon Ami Gabi at Paris isn't bad for greasy steak frites or something along those lines. Otherwise reasonable people tell me they like Rao's but the meals I've had there have been awful.

This is the CASUAL dining thread. Sauteed hummingbird beaks may be hard to find at CET restaurants, but there is plenty of good CASUAL stuff. Paris has the burger place, Caesars has a number of places, but the Forum places might not take the comps, the non-coffee shop places at Bally's are not bad either.

I didn't think the pizza joint in the mall between Paris and Bally's was too bad either, for what it is, and the Taco Bar at Bally's does have decent $2 tacos. Nothing spectacular, but a solid meal for your break in the grind.
