I’ve been to gueriilla four times. The only knock is twice it was a little wet and soupy in the center. Part of it is that it is in a tiny bar and they are handing it to you 30 seconds out of the oven, but still I thought it was about 25% too much sauce those two times.

I'm coming back to Vegas mid may for 4 nights.

Sushi neko
Jjanga
Gorilla

I went to these guys for ayce back in November, and would return to each of them. Any others that I should try? Anything change in the vegas sushi world?

Is the ayce eat bbq place worth it? I love a good beef rib.

Any other tips would be great. Might visit din Tai fung in aria as I've heard great things.

Sakana I think is excellent.

Neko was a little disappointing last time I went, will probably still go back at least another time.

I've made reservations/plans to visit Herbs & Rye (happy hour 1/2 off), Din Tai Fung, 888 KBBQ (maybe late night happy hour), and probably Sakana for a lunch. I wanted to hit Lotus of Siam, but I don't think I can fit it in as they don't do lunch.

That leaves a few unplanned lunches that we'll play by ear, but most of dinners are scheduled.

I'll try to document if I remember. Can't wait until next week.

Which BBQ place are you referring to? Rollin Smoke has an AYCE option but I've never tried it so I don't know if it's the whole menu or what. Their beef ribs are good. If you can get those as part of it I'd definitely recommend going there.

I just went to 888 on Friday. Not my favorite but not bad. 8oz has a 50% off late night happy hour. Hard to beat that. I'd rate them the same as 888.

I was talking about Rollin Smoke. They have ayce for $45, and can get anything off the menu. Since a whole beef rib is priced at $45, I figure I can definitely eat a whole beef rib if I'm hungry, and then maybe sample other things?

Good note on 888 and 8oz. I did see 8oz as an option, and didn't know about the late night happy hour. Thanks! Vegas has too many options!

$45 isn't too bad.

There is a classic place in the Austin area The Salt Lick(that failed with a LV restaurant at either Green Valley or Red Rocks 15 years ago) that comes in at the mid $20 range for AYCE, but haven't been in 2 years so I'm sure that has increased a little bit.

Any recs for a donut place? Preferrably East side/Strip/Downtown, and some place that isn't sold out super early.

Ronald’s. Chinatown counts right?

Glaze donuts has the best Apple fritters I’ve ever had, other donuts are great too, and Pinkbox is also fantastic. I had Ronald’s before and it was entirety forgettable.

Pink Box Donuts FTMFW. Where was this place when I was in my 20s, and could use my face as a garbage disposal while weighing 120 pounds wet?

I have a strong preference for classic donuts and when I’ve had donuts from the “new” places there’s no real improvement (I prefer Ronald’s) glazed vs glazed or Apple fritter vs Apple fritter (I love Ronald’s fritters) but there’s a huge cost increase. And I hate the lucky charms peanut butter cocoa puff bullshit donuts.

My transition to old cranky guy itt is complete, and I now serve only to remind people of when Coke cost a nickel

Anyone have anything good to say about Thick Chick (chicken sanwiches) or Sammy's Pastrami and Burgers? I need to find good fast food near me.

Been meaning to go to Tups Specialty Sandwiches and One Bite Sandwiches (bahn mi) in that area. Saga is also in the area and makes good sandwiches, but not in the same realm as a pastrami on rye or hot chicken sandwich. Biscuits and Bourbon is also close but probably not what you’re looking for (maybe a call ahead and pick up deal rather than pop in and expect to be in and out in 10~)

I love Sammy's. Good burgers you can get as big as you want and the meal fries. Have it delivered once in a while since their locations are in BFE compared to my work and home.

Apparently, The Thick Chick is a delivery-only place...anyone try it? They have a bunch of nice looking chicken sandwiches on Postmates, etc.

Is the Bobby's Burger Palace in front of Aria closed?

Not sure, but I hear there’s a Bobby’s Burger Palace in the Caesars food court, so, that could be related information here

It was definitely closed during business hours when we walked past it a couple of weeks ago, and then we saw the Bobby's Burgers at Caesar's, and drew the same conclusion that Malucci did.

the spicy noodles, the dumplings, pork fried rice.
always love a place that has an open window to the kitchen
the so called fried rice was a pan dash not the bad amercicanized carmelized fare
vegatables fresh and rice was light
