Have you been to the Bagel Cafe? Absolutely love that place and they have the best bagels I’ve ever had. I’ve seen Sheldon Adelson there more than a couple times, as well as the Goodmans, and Andrew Dice Clay.

Highly recommend "Siam Square".

North side of downtown's Fremont Street between 6th and 7th.

Way better than "Le Thai" in that same neighborhood.

The whitefish is good at Bagelmania. If I've had their hash it wasn't memorable. Can't imagine I haven't gotten it, but it's not the kind of place I like to do sit down breakfast in (I'd eat tacos there but not breakfast, idk...), so it's usually a sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel for me. Unfortunately no pork roll, but my smiths actually carries it.

Oof, sounds like I should avoid.

But I do love food. Will give it a shot tomorrow. Got a 4 hour drive to PSP for work so might as well get a decent breakfast to go with my 4 hours of podcasts.

It's really large portions. The breakfast is fine, maybe even good, for diner food. But the thing is, Peppermill isn't just one thing. It's breakfast, it's non-breakfast, it's the fireside lounge. Fireside Lounge is a legit place to hang out late and have a couple drinks. Breakfast is ok-to-good diner food. No idea about the rest of their menu because there's 0 chance it's getting any of my wallet with the rest of the places in town.

Maybe the best way to describe it: It's where I meet people from out of town for breakfast when they are hungover as **** if they aren't coffee snobs or hipsters, and it's not a breakfast meaningful enough for Bouchon or Tableau.

Interested how they compare. Please report back. I do like the location for Bagelmania, close to the strip and down the street from the Westgate.

Had my 1st date with my wife @ Peppermill over 8 years ago, we tend to go back once a year or so around that date for sentimentality reasons.

Breakfast food is pretty good, the philly is pretty good.

Would probably ~never make the effort to go if not for 1st date thing, but it's a totally fine option if you're in the area.

Ok so tried bagel cafe. Bagel w cc and sausage egg and cheese on a toasted bagel. Planned to eat half of each, but...

Both bagels were stale, or else they don't know how to make a bagel (which I assume isn't right). Couldn't do more than two bites of the bagel w cc so ate the bkfst sandwich but was unhappy about it. Also don't like that they make you dress (SPK) your own sandwich and I had to ask them to cut it.

Spacious and comfortable dining room and huge cookie/pastry/muffin case. Classic Jewish deli vibe. Was really excited about it until I tasted the bagels. Will try it again to see if this is variance - I really wanted to love it and even jumped the gun texting my wife about it before I got the food - but Bagelmania still hands down winner for me.

I’m going to Bagel Cafe tomorrow...I go a lot. But now because of your review I will try Bagelmania, at some point soon. I always get Everything bagels but never get them toasted because the onions always come out burnt and it ruins the flavor. I always go veggie cream cheese too.

Also, the pastry case...everything looks good, but in my experience none of it is.

Yes bagel off ITT! Even though the purists go plain I’m a everything or pumpernickel fan.

Salt Bagel lightly toasted with CC at The Del Mar Deli at South Point hits the spot for me.

This is the only place in town that I know of that carries salt bagels. I love them and buy them by the dozen there - I often buy them out lol. Nothing like a toasted salt bagel with butter or used as the bread for a tuna sandwich.

I heard they came from a local bakery but I wasn't sure which one. Thanks.

I have not, but my fiancee had the biscuits and gravy skillet at the Terrace Point Cafe at Wynn and it was phenomenal. Strongly recommend for any b&g fan.

Hmm thanks for this I may need to check it out. I’m a nit and avoid food options at Wynncore. However free parking at the Wynn means I may end up playing cards there at some point and this seems like a good food option.

Free if you spend $50 in their shops/restaurants, AFAIK - don't know what they would do for poker players. You could park at TI and walk across the street, I suppose.

Given the prices at the Wynn, biscuits, gravy and a beer might well get your to $50, come to think of it.....
