My wife and I just had dinner at Sakana. I don’t know much about sushi but it tasted good. Decent rice to meat ratio. Good flavors. No name hand roll was my favorite.

Thanks to people in this thread for the recommendation.

Jaleo’s $25 lunch deal is decent. Good flavors and good service.

The foie gras brown butter tortellini I had at Barrymore might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

#1 to Jaleo's $25 lunch. IMO everything in the right column are the best dishes. They also sell jamon iberica bellota by the ounce.

I got the brisket, mac and cheese and corn at Jessie Rae’s. Mac and cheese and corn was good but the brisket was not. My experience at Rollin Smoke was better.

Egg and I is solid. Their coffee is very good and eggs, ham, bacon and sausage on the skillet was very tasty. Potatoes on that dish was very good. The location is very bad so I would have never gone there if it wasn’t highly recommended. I am glad I read some of the poster’s comments here.

The 512 Experience has the best brisket around here and it's not even close, they use USDA Prime meat for their brisket. I haven't even had it fresh yet, got to try some that my friend got over the weekend that was frozen/reheated and it was incredible. They're going to be at First Friday next week so I'm definitely gonna have to go get some fresh brisket.

I mean look at this damn brisket:

So it seems based on your post that the 512 experience is a food truck. Do they set up regularly other than first Friday? - tourist who wants that brisket

This dish sounds great. I'll be in Vegas this weekend. I think I'll give it a whirl.

My friend randomly found them outside an antique show. I don’t know if they show up at places regularly. Going by their IG they’ve been less active because the owner had a baby recently. Try sending them an IG message. I’m buying an 8 pound brisket from them this week...let’s see how long it lasts.

It was great. Unfortunately they had it as a special once and I’ve never seen it again. I’d suggest calling in advance to see if they can make it for you.

I am not sure what you mean by "the location is very bad". The Egg and I on Sahara is not in a dangerous neighborhood.

Just realized the Egg and I that everyone raves about is different than the Egg and I chain we have here in Houston. I was going to complain about people recommending this place but it’s a different place and yeah the food looks great on yelp. One thing I hate about Houston is limited diner type food options. Vegas OTOH has a lot awesome diner spots.

I recently moved away from that neighborhood, so it is probably pretty safe now

Breakfast Klub is good but I’m not waiting an hour in line for chicken and waffles. I feel like Vegas has a ton of options for breakfast food of this quality.
