I'm not eating anything with that much fat even though that's where the flavor is. I just don't see how that is desirable. I'll stick to grilling Costco steaks.

Because it tastes incredible....maybe try it before you come to the conclusion that it sucks. There's a reason it costs $12/ounce (and $45-60/ounce at the strip).

To be fair to Kobe beef i imagine you get more total fat intake eating a really big cheese burger or bbq ribs than a typical kobe/wagyu beef dish. Serving size is everything.

I'm no expert but that particular steak in the photo does look fattier (at least too much fat all in one part of the cut) than is typical. It might explain the price difference. I'm sure the rest is just as delicious as any other.

Going to be in Vegas Oct 8-12 (M-F), looking for good value AYCE sushi options, on or near strip, or really anywhere west of strip (towards Red Rocks). TIA!

BF Sushi on Rainbow has an amazing fish to rice ratio on their nigiri so they have become my new AYCE go-to.

forgot to mention, went to black sheep a couple of weeks back. Thought it was solid. Not rave worthy, just solid.

Some good dishes like the imperial rolls, and lemongrass duck, beef shortrib was ok, and a couple of not so great dishes like the beef crisps and the glass noodles.

I just didnt find many of the flavours particularly intense, dare I say it, it was a touch bland for my tastes?

Drinks were good, but both rounds took a looooooong time to come after ordering.

bill was $200 for 3 people.

I.C Chinese on West Sahara (corner of Cimmaron Sahara) is really good. A member of 2+2 management has asked me to do a write-up (2+2 paid for the meal), but I've been busy today.

omg this is really sad to me. Fingers crossed it was you who had an off day and not me! I think we only overlapped on the imperial rolls and beef crisps -- funny enough we liked the crisps and thought the rolls were only ok. Guess it's time for a re-visit. Our waitress was a little flaky but no real issues other than she just seemed just a little...off?

Is there any listing of the various happy hour's and their offerings around the strip?

Alternatively, buy two nips from Walgreens first and absorb on way then drink water at Jaleo and have drinks afterwards somewhere cheap.
Excited to try this out. Any other recommendations with sampler/tasting type menu options?

Hey, that's right by the gym I've been going to. Been thinking about grabbing some food from there.

Where do I sign up for this free 2+2 meal thing? haha

It is worth a visit. I did purchase beer and did some carpentry in return for the meal.

My carpentry skills are pretty terrible. I should probably just pay.

Picked up some food after the gym today. Went super simple & got sesame chicken lunch special with fried rice.

Can tell just from that they are using good ingredients & the place should be solid. Will try more exciting things some other time.

This might not be the rightest spot to ask, but what the heck...

Does anyone know and care to share said knowledge if admission to "The Speakeasy" in the basement of the Mob Museum is free, or does it require the purchase of a museum ticket? I went to the museum last year, have no real interest in doing it again (but do recommend it once!). The Speakeasy sounds fun, and since I'll be in town next week celebrating a friends birthday, this might be one spot to check out.

Thanks!

Free admission when the museum is closed. Not when the museum is open. At least that was how it was when I went.

As it is just a regular bar with some old **** in it (and they have old-timey drinks) and the patrons are generally the sort of people who enjoy visiting museums, it isn't really all that much fun. It isn't bad at all, and is a nice reward if you have already spent time learning some history at the museum.

Yeah, it wasn't bad. Very interesting platings/menu. My food was good.

Was still hungry after I ate my meal, though (hanger steak).

Anyone been to Edo yet? It took over the Chada location. Good reviews on yelp so far.
