Just went to CS tonight to get one last meal before they close Saturday... They have always been so good and so consistent, I can't remember ever going and not being completely satisfied with my meal. Gonna miss that place.

Also, they're having a goodbye buffet Sat night for $25 I think, info on their FB page. Also also, 20% off bottles of wine now til closing

I have poked around here and fine dining so apologies if it has been discussed but has anyone tried Hell’s Kitchen at CP? Reservations seem tough so about to make one for early July as soon as the 3 month window opens. Seems you can use your diamond certificate too.

I think his steakhouse in Paris was 7/10 and the Pub at CP/BGR at PH about the same, HK seems to top those.

ordered crab fried rice at OG Chada when we were there back in February. i don't remember the 'fat' part in the description but i'll leave that to gobbo and others to clarify.

People complain about the price but as a visitor to Vegas I am never that $ sensitive and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal there AND enjoyed being attached to a strip joint

Hit up Grimaldis a few days ago and it was absolutely perfect as usual. Nothing fancy, just a large well done pepperoni pizza, caesars salad, and a few glasses of wine. So simple yet so amazing...

Interesting tidbit-

The waiter told us everyone raves about the caesar salad but the dressing they use is just Kens caesar dressing from the grocery store bottle lol.

reminds me of a time i was out to eat with a group and some girl exclaims how much she likes the mayo and asks the waiter what kind of mayo it is. the waiter runs off to the kitchen and returns with "sysco" written on a paper napkin. heh

so rare to see it, even at high end restaurants, but I am still a big fan of the old school caesar with lots of cheese and most importantly a few anchovies, ideally minced

I'm sure it can't be any worse than being whacked for >$20 a drink

Have a reservation booked at Therapy. Anyone been there before and any thoughts on if I should keep the reso or look for something else.

My friend went for her birthday last week and said Therapy was amazing. Eureka is next door, highly recommended - the osso bucco riblets were just stupidly good. Kitchen at Atomic down the street is one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. Their bread pudding is probably the best dessert I've ever had.

Out of curiosity, how does ossobuco riblets work?

The name ossobuco translates to 'bone with a hole' because that's the way a cross-cut veal shank looks like. That's the eponym and main ingredient of the dish. Do they add riblets to that?

im still trying to get an acceptable answer for what bone in filet really means as well. Filet is supposed to be the prime cut of the tenderloin which is off the bone, unfortunately despite what appears to be a made up cut of beef, it tends to be my favorite at most restaurants because it has way more flavor than any filet mignon would ever have without the excessive fat that comes with most of the other flavorful cuts.

If you’ve ever seen lollipop chicken wings with the bone sticking out it’s kind of like that. They were incredibly good.

I believe the dish is very good, I just don't think they should be allowed to call it ossabuco if there's no (veal) shank in there.

If you put a 'Hamburger' on your menu that has a piece of catfish on a bun with ketchup and mustard, people would rightfully complain that it's not a hamburger.

I don’t care what they call it, I just want to eat a pile of them.

Since a porterhouse or t-bone is just a filet and a strip on opposite sides of the bone, wouldn't a bone-in filet just be a porterhouse or t-bone minus the strip?

this.....

(the difference between what is a porterhouse and what is a "T-Bone" is determined by the size of the filet-a porterhouse having the full sized filet cut and as you run down the filet to the small end you have the cut that is considered t-bone)

bone in NY strip is more common, but bone-in filet is exactly what eco poses

Anyone with recommendations on a nice, simple hot lobster roll (bread, butter and lobster)?

Fashion show serves a cold roll.

LobsterME in Palazzo apparently serves warm rolls.

Is pretty good ime (only 2.9 stars on Google though, no idea why).

I'm like you, a lobster roll is as you described, Connecticut style. A lobster salad sandwich is sold as a "lobster roll" in some places (and is gross too).

Surprisingly, Red Lobster serves one that is not terrible. I ordered the two lobster roll entree for lunch, added a tail, and put all the tail meat on the rolls. Amazing lunch for $28. I wouldn't recommend it over an alternative, but in SW Ohio, I don't have an alternative.
