ended up being a group of eight with a reservation.
pretty much ordered everything recommended by Jimmy here (and then some): http://jimmyeatsvegas.com/chada-thai-wine/

the consensus favorites were the fresh oysters (we even convinced a non-oyster person to try them and she became an immediate fan because they are so amazing...we ordered another round for the table as dessert), the Tom Kha Kai hot pot, duck panang, and crab meat fried rice. tried to order the Prad Kaw Prow with pork belly but i'm pretty sure Jimmy stole the last order of pork belly so we had to 'settle' for ordering it with prawns cooked two way...still extremely good.

for the first timers i suggest ordering at least two entrees per person. all of what we had was amazing but the portion size is a little small if you're eating family style. we also bought 4 bottles of wine based off of staff recommendations and they were all very well paired with the food.

Jimmy...sorry if i interrupted your conversation with friends to say hello, but i didn't want to type all of this out, say that i saw you when we were there, and not take the opportunity to meet you. i was THIS close to asking you to order for our table but decided not to.

So much variation is capacity

Spouse and I visited Chada three times over the holidays, and not once did we manage more than three entrees between us ... even leaving a little on the plate each time. But maybe you guys didn't order rice?

I find Chada’s portions to be a little small but everything I’ve ever had there has been delicious.

I was there! Was one of the friends at Jimmy’s table. We tried to order the crispy pork belly also but were told they were out.

Whats the price point? I was looking at the menu, looks awesome but is it as pricey as Delmonicos...

Highly recommend Chengdu Taste for Szechuan at Spring Mountain/Valley View. We had 5 people in our group and we were all in a food coma for $110 including tip. Get there right at opening or expect to wait a long time. If you got there late, it would totally be worth the wait though.

Random question, maybe someone knows. Read a couple weeks ago in a TR about a place mainly focusing on oysters at the strip. It is a sports bar which has VP as well, that's all I know about it. Hard one but would be happy if I could find it again!

Go to Olocuilta, next to the Tacos el Gordo on East Charleston, and order yourself some pupusas revueltas ASAP. They are amazing, the best version of the dish, and traditional accompanying slaw & sauces, I've ever had. And they are cheaper than dirt to boot

I know there's a hundred places to get donuts but where are the good donut holes? Looking for chocolate and other not-just-glazed options.

Anyone eaten at Cafe Berlin? Looking for some good German food and it gets decent Yelp reviews.

Hadn’t heard of that restaurant, but based on their menu and reviews I would say it’s worthing checking out.

They serve a couple traditional dishes that I would describe as German versions of “Sunday roast” like Sauerbraten, Gulasch and Rouladen. A lot of “German” restaurants in the US are either focused on Schnitzel or Bavarian/Austrian cuisine.

Using the term ‘Schnitzel “Wiener Art”’ instead of ‘Wiener Schnitzel’ for a pork Schnitzel is also an indicator that they know what they are doing.

I've heard good things about Raising Canes, anyone been to one of the 3 or 4 vegas locations, how are they?

Edit: I googled it again and it looks like they have closer to 10 locations in vegas.

Good and juicy chicken tenders.
Def a good fast meal.
But if you're ever in the mood for good Buffalo Chicken tenders, go to Lucky Penny Cafe. BestTendersEVER!

Blue Ox Central on Eastern (there are three locations, have only been to Eastern) has maybe the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. Cane’s and particularly Cane’s sauce are quite good though.

I haven’t had a bad Raising Canes experience anywhere, they are very consistent imo. Not too different from CFA in that regards, especially compared to most other chicken fast food chains like KFC, Church’s or Popeyes where some locations are awful.

One caveat for first time RC guests: they really only have one item, chicken fingers served with fries and Texas toast. Some of their combos also include coleslaw and that’s it unless you count a sandwich that’s just chicken fingers on a roll.
