Not under $10 probably, but this made it occur to me that I haven't given the dim sum place on Decatur between Trop and Flamingo any love. That place is great. It's FILLED with Asians, and never has white people which is how you know it's amazing. Don't remember the name. It has a green roof.
For those trying to google, it's actually called Pho Thanh Huong. You can get their food delivered on Roadrunner.

The place on Decatur is Chang's Hong Kong Cuisine.

I second ZJ's recommendation of both these places.

I realize I'm late to the burger party here, but I'm heading to Vegas again in July and have been perusing this thread for new food ideas.

My favorite burger place on the strip is Le Burger Brasserie in the shops between Bally's and Paris. You can get their classic angus beef burger (medium rare obv) with al a carte toppings. I get mine with sauteed spinach, goat cheese and crab meat. Yes, it's weird, but I'm a weird guy, and I'm telling you it's a YUM.

Also, if your GF/wife are in tow, their salads are awesome as well.

i am sorry but le burger brassierie is the pits, i can't let you send unwitting LVL readers there over burger bar or holstein's.

the only worse $20 burger i've had in vegas was at KGB burger at 3 AM

btw, not trying to say that it's horrible food or anything, just that it's miserable compared to the similarly priced burger at burger bar

I sincerely love your input in the dining threads augie_, especially the sushi advice. That is why I mainly read, and don't post much. Thanks again for the tip.

i don't think its that great either but i rank it #2 in burger-centric joints. they were one of the few that actually served me hot fries during my survey, lol

I wanted to get breakfast at Hash House this morning at about 10.30h. There were at least 30 people waiting outside. Is this standard?

It definitely does belong in the fine dining thread, but I disagree with your assessment- I think it's just as good (if not better) than the other steakhouses in it's range.

Yes.... The earlier the better for that place.

As lines go the off strip line is usually shorter than the IP HHAGG line.

Whoops... I swore there was one there. Damn, Double Damn.

That makes me sad. None in any reasonable place of California and none in LV! How is that possible?

Well, as I mentioned before, if you've been to Sizzler, you're not really missing out on much wrt Golden Corral. There was a GC in my little hometown in AZ.

IMO Golden Corral is disgusting except maybe for breakfast. I think the reason there are not any here is that there are quite a few locals casinos that offer an identical quality buffets for a better price. It would be hard to bring in a standalone, lower end buffet, and compete with the lower end casino buffets.

I guess we differ in opinion.

Who offers an identical buffet for $10?

Remember has to include steak, BBQ ribs, the awesome GC salad bar and those delicious desserts. That chocolate cake is unbeatable.

BTW, I'm willing to say that different locations may offer different experiences. I loved the St. George UT, Yuma AZ and Western PA locations.

I am coming down the WSOP flu and could use some really good matzoh ball soup. The best matzoh ball soup I found in LV was from the Caesars poker room menu a while back (I don't play there anymore).

Any recommendations?
