Going to vegas for a few weeks in June. Wife and i consider ourselves foodies but there is no way we can have picasso, atelier, guy savoy, etc... every night so was looking for some good options for the nights in which i dont feel like dropping $250+ on dinner. from what I am seeing online and on this thread I have added Chada and Hexx to my list. Any other suggestions?

I enjoy the Wolfgang Puck restaurants in MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay.

Ate at Jefe's Taco Shop twice last week, some of the best quick Mexican around. It's inside a gas station, but don't let that fool you....everything I had a taste of was incredible:

https://www.yelp.com/biz/jefes-taco-shop-las-vegas

159 reviews with 5-star average on yelp is pretty incredible, that doesn't happen often.

Dishes sampled:

-Chicken fajitas
-Pastor fries
-Chorizo breakfast burrito
-Steak and bacon quesadilla
-Pastor mini tacos

Their rice/beans/pico/guac are also legit, unlike many other fast food Mexican places. If you're up near 95 and Ann, give it a shot.

Going to Vegas in mid may and it would be nice to try it. (Yeah I know there is some In-N-Out located in vegas, but seems like a hazzle to get there).

How are In-N-Out compared to Shake Shack?

I dont think it will be open by then... I prefer IO over SS, its a ver simple formula... very simple menu, nothing fancy. In N Out is like comfort food for left coasters.

The big question for me is, will they change the pricing structure for that specific location... if they do not, their meal at the linq will be by far one of the cheapest meal on the strip. There is a lot of value in that.

There's a lot about that on google, for example:

Is Chick-fil-a still scheduled to open late this year?

Of course they will. White Castle did, McDonalds does.

The Starbucks at flamingo and paradise raised all its prices because it's close to the strip.

Gotta adjust for that rent, no question.

The Burger King inside O'Sheas had higher prices than regular locations, but the difference wasn't that big.

Folks it's a function of rent-their prices will increase proportionally just like everyone else

Its not just rent. Its also a function of demand. If they had free rent they would also have higher prices because the market will bare it.

I predict that In n Out will charge double double what other ones do.

I will be in Vegas for 14 days with some lowrolling friends and just made a list of places I try to go to by reading a million posts in this forum and all over the internet. Obviously not everything is possible and only Chada and Kabuto is 100% sure (in a small group...).

Did I miss something that HAS to be included? Talking about relatively cheap options.

Chada Thai
Bachi Burger
Asian BBQ & Noodles @Chinatown
Yunnan Garden (maybe... not convinced)
Ping Pang Pong
Jjanga (best Sushi I have ever had...)
Kabuto Sushi (apparently even better)
Tacos el Gordo
Viva Las Arepas
KoMex (korean-mexican)
Ellis Island (because cheap and we all love the root beer there)
Circus Circus Steak House (our first trip ever was to CircusCircus...)
Settebello (Green Valley)
Dom DeMarco´s
Five50 Pizza @ Aria
Secret Pizza (I only go there because they have a square slice of pepperoni and cheese that I think is the best on the planet)
CarsonKitchen
Rollin Smoke Barbeque
Mint (indian)
DW Bistro (caribbean)
Yannis Greek Grill
Peppermill
Holsteins
In-n-Out Burger
Pho vietnamese @Treasure Island (you will probably laugh at this but there is one Pho on the menu that we all agree is really really good - but I know it´s too expensive for pho...)
Top of the World Restaurant @Stratosphere Tower (for view)
Hofbräuhaus (we are German...)
Gelatology (ice cream)
Bacchanal/Wicked Spoon Buffet

German or not, I suggest you don't waste a meal on Hofbrauhaus.

Rather than Kabuto, you could consider visiting Yui Edomae Sushi. Gen Misoguchi, the chef who opened Kabuto, moved on to his own place, and while price level is higher I find its more daring style and Gen-san's personal attention well worth the cost.

I've been to about 1/2 the places on this list and wouldnt recommend the circus circus steakhouse. Went there with a party of eight once after hearing recommendations from random players at the table, sadly no one in our party were impressed w/ it.

A woman I work with went this past weekend, and said it was mediocre at best. One steak was overcooked, sides were boring and unoriginal, and the Circus Circus has gone to utter ****. I'd say Old Homestead at Caesar's is the way to go, but I haven't been to a ton of steakhouses on the Strip.

Pasta Idea has the best italian I've ever had, fast casual place. Thought Viet Noodle Bar and Japanese Curry Zen were excellent as well

That list has a clear lack of Ichiza which seems right in the wheelhouse of what you are looking for

Skip the pho at TI and go to Pho So 1 on Spring Mountain & Decatur or the 24H Pho (I forget the name) on the SE corner of Valley View & Spring Mountain. Not that the TI pho is necessarily bad, but there's only one way to order it.

It is quite good.
I may have posted picture/link back in December, but not sure.

Even then it's a better deal than most of the half assed burgers I've had on strip that weren't >$15

I think that if Jjanga is the best sushi you've had, you need a stepping stone to Kabuto. Don't get me wrong, I highly enjoy both, but they are completely different. Maybe Sen of Japan before Kabuto if you can fit both in.

Pho Kim Long is popular amongst those visiting from Vietnam. It is just past Valley View on Spring Mountain.
