Went to Cafe Rio last week, on Sahara I believe it was. I was really impressed with their pork nachos. It was honestly some of the better pork I've ever had. Also had some of my wife's Burrito and it wasn't bad either, but the Pork Nachos are where it's at.

Anyone really love any of these mobile trucks that have been talked about so much over the last year?

I don't know which ones there are in Vegas, but I've got extensive experience with the LA ones at this point (8-10 of them parked outside my office every day). I'm rarely disappointed. In general, the burger and Indian ones seem to be the best. The Kogi knock-offs are kind of boring. I don't view them as worth a special trip though, they're only a matter of convenience.

the chicken fingers at burger palace are bearable. curly fries and onion rings are good too. the burger sucks. the pizza place isn't that good, isn't that bad, but it's 6.99 for two pieces and a beer. i keep meaning to have the 7 dollar all you can eat pasta, but never remember when i go in there to make a sports bet.

Burger Palace was great quality for the price before Harrah's changed out the ingredients and ruined it imo.

Any ideas on the best pizza restaurant in Vegas? Thanks

Slidin Thru is my favorite of the trucks. Fuku is good but the selection is cliche and it's a bit more expensive. Plus Slidin Thru has bottled mexicokes and Fuku has inexplicable cans of pepsi.

I think the best pizza place in town now is the literal "no name pizzeria" at the cosmo. It's on the third floor inbetween Blue Ribbon and Jaleo down a nondescript hallway. AWESOME NY style pizza. I suggest calling ahead and picking it up though, since the only place to eat there is a few counters.

There are several pizza threads.

Best pizza in Vegas imo is Aurelio's thin crust.

If you want a good Chicago-style, Rosati's does a decent one.

Pure NY style I like Broadway Pizza but there frankly are a variety of decent NY pizza places that are fine.

While Clark and Gobbo focused on "pizza places", I'll instead address the restaurant part of the question. If you want to sit down and eat a good meal I'd recommended DOCG at Cosmopolitan for the best Neapolitan pizza on the strip. If your willing to venture out, I recommended Sette Bello, across from Green Vally Ranch. They often have cabs dropping off tourists there, its a popular destination.

Yes... me to as far as los angeles goes, but not here in vegas. HOWEVER, I do see a major shift to the gourmet trucks with really good food. I happened upon a clothing store opening and it had a food coach there doing some awesome things that you'd never suspect coming off a roach coach.

I moved to Vegas from San Francisco (taco trucks are very popular there) in the past few months, and I tried one called 9091. I guess it's more stationary than most "mobile" trucks, as it's located in a shopping center on Flamingo b/t Paradise and Swenson, I think. I got BBQ tacos there for $2 each. The ingredients seemed very fresh, and in general the tacos were very tasty, but they did seem like they lacked some salsa or chutney or something. Definitely a good value though.

I am looking forward to trying a few other taco trucks as well.

If you like Grand Lux, then you will like Planet Dailies, which has a larger menu for >12am eats. Both places priced equally afaik.

Check them out for yourself at the WSOP. Two are already confirmed to be there often, they plan on parking behind the Rio convention center across the street, and they are looking into providing delivery service if you tweet your order. More details soon....
