I'm pro "Don't need a salad on my burger guy" and those fries look legit up my alley as well. On the list!

The other plus is it’s in the same plaza as the Huntridge Tavern. This is the dive bar that Anthony Bourdain started one of his Vegas episodes.

I like strong, dark coffee. Staying at Horseshoe. Other than Starbucks, where can I find good coffee mid strip or within walking distance?

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Miracle Mile or Fashion Show malls.

"Walking" distance, I guess.

There’s a pastry stand Brioche in Caesars that may have better/stronger coffee than Starbucks. Other hotels/casinos might have different options as well. I know Venetian/Palazzo has at least one but that’s not particularly close to you.

The forum shops have a cafe in the middle called "Ciao Ciao". Pronto might be worth checking out as well. I'm guessing they're both strip prices and quality though.

Went to mon ami gabi for first time in ten years. If you want a fun afternoon with people watching this is a great place. Other than that it truly is just a Cheesecake Factory with a French theme. Everything was in the same range of highly mediocre, and while it seemed like the wait staff was friendly and attentive we hit the bottom of the barrel with a woman that should never be near customer service. Felt like after the meal I owed my wife a date night at a special occasion restaurant next to make up for it.

Magic noodle, beef shank with wide flat noodle, spicy wontons, and dumplings. FAT FAT FAT

I give shangs the edge on the wontons, and a slight edge on the broth. Magic noodle has a pretty big edge on the noodle imo. Both places don’t disappoint. Would pass on the fried dumplings next time.

I DO love me some flat noodle... looks good.

I am dreaming of Beef Stroganoff about now.

Dumplings are so weird, it’s like they live on their own island where some lousy places can absolutely crush them and some great places where they are the only things not to order on the whole menu.

yes, there's the Illy cafe on the walk between P and V that I find pretty good. I go triple espresso with a small amount of water and find it's closest to what I have in Australia

I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but doesn't Paris also have a Brioche?

Sorry I missed above Mal, never had to wait at Shangs mid week mid afternoons. Magic noodles wait is usually 20 mins plus

Last time I was at Shangs I added extra noodles for 1.50 (i think) and it was a huge portion of noodles on the side. Definitely recommend if you are gorging or could split one bowl in two for milder appetites.

Went to Lotus at Red Rock again tonight, salmon larb and Khao soi on point as usual. Perfect level of heat with the “spicy” option. Don’t know how it has 3 stars on Yelp, have yet to have a bad dish there.

I was very underwhelmed as was my Thai date by the Flamingo Lotus location back in January. I suppose I would try RR at some point but, I’m a Lamaii guy.

I’m not a Thai food person but based on the recommendation of everyone I trust with vegas food, best case scenario you get the same level at red rock lotus and normally it is a much worse version.
