Soul Belly’s brisket and tri-tip pastrami are phenomenal and I love their little pickles as well

I had the ribs at Daily Bread yesterday and I think they’re probably the best ones in Vegas. They only do BBQ on the last Sunday of the month though. Half rack was $14.

$60 once you include tax, obligatory 20% service charge that is no longer seen as a tip and then another 20% or w/e we now have to additional tip servers

InB4 they bring in a resort tax for stepping on a casino property

Has anyone been to the new food court at Aria? As someone who plays 99% at Aria it would be really interesting to see how the food options are.

Went to blue ribbon at red rock last night, the oxtail fried rice is the best fried rice in vegas and I think they have the perfect shrimp tempura. The sushi was forgettable and the fatty tuna was downright bad. But stick with fried rice, fried chicken, and tempura and it’s a fantastic meal (I doubt those three things have been mentioned in same sentence before)

The sushi place and Shalom Y’all are great. Haven’t had any others yet.

Had Egghead sandwich and hash browns for breakfast one day last week. Excellent. Eggslut without the line.

Proper Sandwich is closed til further notice. Damn shame. Guessing it’s a combo of slightly elevated price point, location, and staffing.

Just a snippet here, but Travel Ruby is a pretty good follow on YT. Lots of good Vegas info. Girl likes to eat!

Edit: At the end of her video she mentions a "Vegas Near Me" app. Sounds intriguing. May check it out next time I head to Vegas. Anybody have experience using it yet?

I hope you can get comps for the food court from the poker room?

Carnitas y tortas ahogadas just outside the arts district I'd very solid Jalisco style Mexican food.

Not yet, they said they’re working on it. The food court uses a cashless ordering and payment system so I don’t know how they’d integrate comps either. I’m sure if business is slow they will make it happen. It’s incredibly stupid for the food court to not offer comps and delivery to poker room IMO.

Noodle oxtail soup just ok. Xlb good but thick wrapper, napkins elite.

I am not the most discerning of diners so YMMV but I thought it was great.

Apps were all good, nigiri was not over riced, and the variety of rolls were all excellent. They also allow you to order a half roll which is nice.

Service was very quick at 7pm on a thursday night. Would definitely go to again.
This was my favorite AYCE sushi pre-pandemic. Quality declined a bit post pandemic, made my way back and find it's pretty bad now.

Been mostly only eating at the dragon factory owned places, Sakana/Neko/Shota/Nabe, which is still very good quality. Any other places worth a try?

I can’t stand buffets but the four seasons brunch is really fantastic. Nice thing is unlike the big casinos they know they probably are only cooking for a few hundred people so the quality is excellent and the omelet and donut bar alone are worth the money.

I found an awesome pizza place that just opened called Yukon Pizza - it's in the gentrified strip mall on Charleston/Maryland. 125 year old sourdough made in one of those huge wood fire Italian pizza ovens. The dough was awesome, toppings fresh, and they shave parm / sprinkle fresh herbs on at the end.

https://yukonpizza.com/

More of a takeout place but they do have a small bar area and serve beer.

Looked online but their idiot website doesn't say, what is the cost for the brunch? Do they have an unlimited mimosas or similar option?

in a couple of months spouse and i will be at Yellowtail as part of a group birthday celebration scheduled by others, what should i expect?
similar question for the next night at Giada, which incidentally i'm inclined to skip unless someone provides a solid reason to attend it.
at that price point it seems like a leak easily patched

52 bucks includes juice I believe, mimosas are another 40 unlimited, bartender was quite good and my margaritas were strong.

Whoever booked didn’t do you many favors. Giada is consistently looked at as one of the worst strip restaurants (I mean healthy Italian food just seems like a flavorless mess). In terms of yellowtail, I haven’t heard anyone rave about it in years. I took a glance at the menu, seeing rock shrimp for $36 dollars is pretty tough. I don’t think the meal will be bad there by any means, but sushi is pretty much the only food on the strip I won’t order because they strip price sushi to death. Mizumi is the one Japanese place on the strip I go to and that is a splurge meal for me. No brainer if you have to go to one, yellowtail.

If they are up for Italian replacements, Carbone, Sinatra, vetri, Matteo’s, even lavo is a big step up.
