I came on a Saturday once at like 6:30 and they were out of ribs so I bounced. No regrets. Their ribs are so fire.

Woody Allen telling a joke in Annie Hall.

Very Woody Allen type joke. It’s always like, “the sex is terrible and never enough”.

There don't seem to be many that don't close between lunch and dinner service, I seem to remember being ok but not delighted with a 3pm steak in Capital Grille whilst struggling to work out anywhere else that might be open. I made a resolution to just hold out until 5/5:30 next time and walk up to a decent bar offering in a better steakhouse for immediate service.

As for 3am, I've tried steaks on obvious go-to 24hour places such as Grande Lux or Bellagio Cafe and B poker room. They will all suffice for an overwhelming hankering, but again it seemed a better solution to eat lite with a mental note to sort the steak deficit out 5:30pm the next day.

So both solutions for me tend to be the same, and my personal fav (for good service+great steak+quick turnaround) is StripHouse in PH.

I realise that hasn't really answered your question directly and I'll be interested to see what suggestions get put up, I might well try some. But to date, my conclusion has been to get a great steak the next day rather than a 2nd tier one now.
I just like playing poker from maybe 4pm to 2 am, so I am looking for food I can get outside of that window. Waiting until 5:30 gets me out of my rhythm. Ideally, in Vegas, I want a nice late lunch and a super-late dinner and I don't want to wait. Sometimes, I play so late, that maybe I should consider looking for some nice steak and eggs at around 7am.

I do miss having an option like the old cafe at Barbary Coast/Bill's.

And this is why I rarely eat on the Strip.

Steak and eggs in the B poker room was reasonable, but obv unless you are playing high limit, ordering in the evening is not advisable due to the number of people that will barge through your table attempting to not miss a hand 8 tables away... but when the poker room thins out in the small hours, it certainly seemed a reasonable option to me with some comp $

Allegro at the Wynn has a decent happy hour menu - we hit it yesterday after hiking in Red Rocks since we were too hungry to wait for dinner.

From 3p-5p they have a much shortened menu - couple of pizza choices, calamari, bruschetta and a burger. My wife had the burger, and I had the pepperoni pizza - she thought the burger was one of the best she ever had - my pizza would have been more than enough for two (didn't stop me finishing it) - Nice wine selection, Blue Moon for $6.50 - which doesn't sound like a bargain until you remember that 30 feet away they're asking $11.00 for a Bud lite.

Total was $65.00 before tip including a glass of wine and the beer - service was excellent. For casual at the Wynn, we liked it. Like everything there, it was overpriced, but not so bad that I started laughing.

That’s kind of expensive for happy hour but I guess normal considering it’s the Wynn.

So the burger and the pizza was about $50? I am assuming wine was about $7...

Had a good experience at Sakana. Definitely the fish:rice ratio is high. There were a few pieces of fish where I didn't like their preparation (i.e., sauces and accouterments) but all-in-all we were pleased. My 2yo ate free and crushed the shrimp tempura, salmon nigiri, and strawberry mochi.

Sigh, here was the email i just received from them

Thank you for reaching out. The dish you are asking about was a dish that a chef from 4 years ago used to make. It was a specialty of his and the recipe was not put to paper. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to make it as it was 4 years ago. We still have a wonderful menu and features that would make up for us no longer having the specific dish in question. If you have any other questions or would like for me to arrange a reservation for you, please feel free to contact me.

I've got a note to try BF Sushi, but was wondering if anyone has tried Sake Rok? It's near the t mobile arena and they have ayce lunch.

Just wondering if it's a viable alternative for ayce sushi on the strip

Got to Jessie Rae's BBQ right before 7 on Sunday night. Would have been there a few minutes earlier but we drove right by it. Not exactly well lit. The hostess/waitress/counter girl was awesome. Very helpful on the menu items. They were out of baby backs but they had spare ribs.

Only 1 table was taken so we were able to sit right down. My wife got a sandwich with pulled pork and brisket which she really enjoyed even though she didn't come close to finishing it. I got this brisket thing with tater tots which was really good. My daughter and her friend split some brisket with a bunch of sides which were all decent.

All in all I'd say it was bit better than Rolling Smoke based on the brisket. I'll be back in March to try the ribs. Thanks to whoever suggested this place. Good choice.

I’m guessing you speak of The Red Pot on Trop/MD Parkway. The hot pot joint?

I’ve been there numerous times, I’m a hot pot addict, so I really like it there.

Update. The meat, sides, staff, and overall experience were great. The banchan left a little to be desired imo, but that's the worst thing I can say about the experience.
