Up over all on the trip. Played a ton of cash at the Venetian and PH.

Back for Christmas this year.

I much prefer hitting the 1/3 at Aria then spending the say in the pissing cold back home chatting to relatives I haven't seen since last Xmas.

I slacked off on this TR and need to get back into things. Here goes....

So when we left off, I was playing in the HPT $360 deepstack at the Strat. I had just doubled up with a royal. #brag

Going into dinner break I was above average stack, and about largest at my table. But it was time to figure out where to get some food.

I knew everyone would run to the burger place, and since I had never been up to the top of the strat tower, I decided to try eating there. They didn't have an open table, so I ate at the bar and still had a great view:



I ordered a seafood pasta dish with lobster, shrimp, scallops and other stuff. But they brought out the dish and forgot the pasta. I didn't care since I was short on time. Here it is:



But the bartender noticed quickly that they brought me the wrong dish, so he had them bring out a correct one:



I washed it down with a glass of wine. It wasn't the best dish, but still pretty good.

After returning from dinner I began to lose chips and lasted a few more hours before busting in this hand:

V was middle age woman in mp and min raised. I was to her immediate left and min raised with AA. All folded and she called. Board came with two hearts, we got it in and she had a heart draw and got there. I liked my play and that's just the way they go sometimes.

After busting the tournament I headed over to the V to play 2-5 and stayed there until daylight. Haven't done that in a long time. But the table was great and we had several laggy players spewing off chips.

Unfortunately every time they spewed, it went to someone else. When the final spewy person was busted and left, the rest of us just looked at each other, and without saying much we all started racking up, exhausted after so many hours, and fully aware that none of us would give the other action.

Here's a pic of my stack at one point. This was as good as it got.

I finally got to bed sometime after the sun started coming up, but was only able to sleep about four hours. So I just accepted defeat, got up and went back to the V and jumped in a 2-5 game. I looked across the table and saw one of the guys who pulled the all nighter with me and he said that he was also unable to sleep.

Nothing remarkable happened during the game. Couldn't make any traction and ended up leaving to go meet up with my girl.

Later that evening we went to dinner at Sensi in the Bellagio. We had a great table where we could observe the kitchen.



We started with cocktails and these appetizers. I wish I could remember what they were, but they were amazing.



Next up were our main dishes. A lobster creation and scallops. Both were great. These scallops were far better than those at the Strat's tower restaurant.



After dinner we headed over to Caesar's to catch the show Absinthe. Here's a pic of the green telephone booth entrance for our tickets. Maybe I heard it on here, but we bought seats with a table, which came with this vip entrance and glasses of bubbly.

The show was great. A complete riot. Hard to explain but it was like a mix of cirque de soleil and old school Eddie Murphy.

The next day we get up and have brunch at an outside cafe at Palazzo. These ducks kept coming up to us.



My girl then wanted to get on her gamble, so she chose this Wheel of Fortune machine. I made her play all the lines (I think it was 9 x 25 cents), but that just accelerated the loss rate. I don't think I've seen someone lose so much so quickly at slots.



We then hit the craps table where she learned how quickly cash can disappear in the pits.

After that she wanted some shopping and poolside time, and told me to go to the pokers. I was able to be at the table for a few hours and eeked out a small loss.

For dinner we hit up Mizumi at the Wynn.



This was the best dinner of the trip. The server knew his stuff and recommended a complete set of dishes and drinks that worked out perfectly for both of us. Here was the view from our table.

After dinner we walked to the Wynn Theater to see La Reve. It was an impressive, large production. Here are a few pics.

Hello fellow LVL'ers. I just landed in LV, again. Keep reading this TR if you appreciate getting to the point with pics and minimal fluff.

First off, I started off with a little cocktail on the flight:



Then upon landing there wasn't a cab line and I didn't get tunneled:





Arrived at Rio and registered for tomorrow's monster stack:



Checked into the Bellagio where they've comped my rooms:

Now it's time to eat, play a little poker and/or dice, and maybe something else to get in the vegas mood.

These stuffed jalapeños at Burgr in PHo are the bomb.

On dinner break. Cabbed it over to Aria for sushi.

Started with a glass of Pinot Gris and the lobster bisque:


Then had the Kanpachi jalapeño with potato julienne roll:


Then finished with a Spicy tuna with crispy green chili roll:


Now heading back to Rio to grind the monster stack.

Bagged and going into day two with about 40bb.

Now doing a little degen at the craps table. Dark side style...

Great report Naxetami - tourney success, pit play, sushi - hitting the high points - good luck today in Monster.

Funny story about the Monster Stack chip leader Nick Maimone from yesterday. He was at my table and was on a multi- hour heater that was amazing to watch. Towards the end of the night, he was feeling so good that he blind raised UTG.

IIRC, it folds to button who shoves with JJ, SB shoves with AK, and Maimone calls w/44. And you know what happened next. Board ran out with 4 clubs and he held the only club, and knocked out two players. Table went berserk. Three hands later, and the final hand of night, he had KK which filled up.

Was quite a sight to watch.
