Nice. Don't know number, but the one in the front corner nearest the cafe. I'm no longer there.

Taking a dinner break at Sirio in Aria. First up...prawns and ricotta dumplings:

Now onto the main course - a veal pasta dish with a lobster ragu. And switched to red wine:

Failed to mention that I jumped into the 1:00 Aria tourney and promptly spewed my chips off. Just got impatient. Not sure what I was thinking.

This hand just happened in 2-5. Could use your advice.

H appears to be winning TAG, but V has seen H caught bluffing. H has biggest stack at table.

V (510): came to table about 30 minutes earlier but no real read on him. Appears to be ABC rec player. White tourist looking guy in 30s.

Utg raises 20. H utg+2 raises to 60 with JsJd. V in mp calls after thinking for a little. button calls. Utg calls.

Flop (240): 10-7-4 rainbow
Utg checks
H bets 120
V insta shoves ~450
All fold to H
H?

I put him on either A10, JJ and maybe QQ. Discounted a set because he didn't stop to think and likely would have not played it as fast on this board.

Thoughts?

Getting bored so doing some hh's. This is Two hands after previous hand I posted...

H has same image, except V in this hand has been with H for several hours and has seen H play patiently and build a stack. H and V have been friendly, but V has noticed H raise his blind on several occasions and I think V thought I was messing with him.

V is German who appears to be a decent TAG with the occasional mild spew. Stack is ~$1500. H covers.

H raised in mp to 20 with 68dd. Folds to v in bb.

V pauses, looks at H and raises to 60. I called because we are deep, I have position, and I feel comfortable playing post flop with him. I also considered that he was trying to make a play at me because of his previous comments about me raising his blinds.

Flop (120): 4d8x9x
V bets 120, but looks a bit uncomfortable/awkward so I call and with my pair and back doors.

Turn (360): 4d8s9c3c
V checks
H bets 240
V folds

I'm probably just letting the JJ go. V can show up with QQ+, TT here in a heartbeat. Actually, the shove is a good move against a lot of 2/5 players in this spot. I see tons of people pay off with over pairs for 100bb at the Aria game all the time. I enjoy being on the receiving end of that error.

The second hand, well, you posted results. Well played. He has AQ, AK there the majority of the time. He decided to shop for an overcard on the turn and missed. I bet there all day. We can really float there with almost 100% of our range, and comfortably look to steal OTT. That's a fairly weak 3 bet, and he's going to C bet 100% there. We float, he checks which limits his range tremendously, unless he's very good and can check a huge over pair here knowing we are gonna bluff... Frankly, most 2/5 players aren't that good. He could have been going for a c/r bluff OTT but chickened out because you bet a solid amount, also, that wouldn't be a common play at 2/5 either. Nice hand. Position is king.

Edit: was he a 40ish guy with a tablet and headphones wearing a t shirt and jeans, with kind of a bowl cut hairdo? If so he was bad, not TAG.

Thanks for the feedback. I agree on the JJ hand, and I folded. But I'm still a bit turn because the loose table dynamics increase the likelihood of a preflop raise with 1010+. But I feel good about my fold.

As far as second V you ask about, no. This guy was wearing a hat. Couldn't see his hair.

Yes. And same hand. Everyone at table was saying they thought he had JJ, and table also assumed I had JJ (I didn't show or tell, but it was obvious by my tank).

Thanks wojo. Staying at the Bellagio this time.

As far as run good, I really need it. In two full days of playing I have hit one flush, no straights, and one set. I've only won with ak by bluffing post flop. Very challenging, but I'm due. Amirite?

I decided to head over to the stratosphere to play in the HPT 360 tournament with a 40k guarantee.

My first bad beat was getting the buffet. I hadn't eaten breakfast and they gave me a discount with my buy-in. Ugh. Heavy comfort food weighing me down. What I was thinking? Bacon. That's what.

Anyhow, I assumed there would be some good cash action since it's a series type event. Dead wrong. Only game is a short handed 1-2. With old folks...with one complaining about my straddles and raises...not that I'm overly youthful myself, but you know what I mean. Guess I'm stuck here until show time. Probably not worth getting to another property and back by start time.

Plus, playing lower stakes always helps me focus on strategy basics. Silver lining I suppose.

run good at strat, wanted to catch that one but have to be @the orleans weekly this afternoon...bragging rights at stake is it generating any sideaction yet? i used to slum the 1-2 @strat some but eventually the fun/spewier locals drifted off and only angry shortstacks remained so stopped ever going

"Patience Daniel-son. Patience." I repeat to myself.

We've been going for 2.5hours and I'm in serious run bad. Best hands I've seen have been 99 to a QKA flop. AJ suited that chopped a pot, and AKoffsuit that I raised pf & was called by 4 people and I had to fold the flop.

I've played only 3 hands in this time and haven't won a pot. But I'm just staying chill - waiting for opps to use my hard earned tight image.

No real side action. Just one 1-2 table. Lol at angry shortstacks. Absolutely. There are several.

I was the Brit with AK in this hand. I was on your imitate right and the other Brit was in black with shades at the other end of the table.

Anyway, thought I would say great TR.

Could someone do me a favor, and let me know what it's like to hit a set, straight, flush or FH? Haven't seen any of those in two days.
