Bookmarked for how to write a TR.

Thanks. It was much easier for me to simply post pics and give quick summaries. But I almost didn't do it because so many people put solid effort into creating more entertaining and lengthy reads. It makes me appreciate the effort they put into their TRs.

Sitting around LAS is BRUTAL.

Been twice, got sick and puked on the plane both times.

Thank god I'm from Los Angeles so I can just drive it out. Apparently I'm not a great flyer (or I'm not a great flyer after days of LV food and drink and tons of candy, my preflight ritual)

We'd always rather have it your way, than:

A. Pulling a Blasted.

B. Writing too much and making it boring.

C. Getting sick, then saying F'it, this is becoming more writing than I'm paid to do (See Natamus and Jeff's Excellent Adventure) and just moving on about 2/3rd of the way through.

OK, this didn't happen in LV, but you could say its an extension of a TR started in LV.

I was In Baltimore and able to drop by Maryland Live for little while.
This place is amazing. Absolute softest play I've ever witnessed. And
it's huge. It's on two floors, with packed tables on a Thursday night.

I managed to build a decent stack with pure value bet after value bet, floating &
stealing, and a few all-ins where I won a couple outright, sucked out
and lost a couple.

Great thing about play at this place is that once pots in 2-5 start
getting large, at least at my tables, everyone seems to get scared and
it's not too difficult to steal pots with semi bluffs. If there's a
big pot preflop, and an A or K hits the board when you're the pf
raiser, you cbet, and they seemed to assume you have AK. Yeah,
terribly lol small sample size, but I did run into one 5-10 reg I've
played with at Aria who said that's why he traveled and plays here.

Quick summary of the poker room: place is pretty nice, good chairs,
charging outlets at table, good dealers (except they never enforced
the big chip visible rule, and you always had to ask people how much
they had because of all the dirty stacks), no free drinks so no
drunks, management seemed a bit inconsistent in rulings. The best
thing? No smoking anywhere in the casino. I felt 200% better because
of not having second-hand smoke and stink.

Food options are ok, with one nice steakhouse. Got a free buffet with
players card, and it was pretty bad. Decent choices but poor food
quality.

Crap. I was tunneled. I looked down at my phone and wasn't paying attention. Look up to see we're in tunnel. Asked cabbie what's up and he says just to pay what I want. Been coming here for years and this is first time.

In town for a week. Group of us here for the monster stack.

I swore I wouldn't end up in the pits during this trip. That pledge lasted about an hour.

But the good news is that my faith in MJ paid off.

Wow. After my last LV trip with serious run bad, this is a fresh way to start. Just sat down at an Aria 2-5 table, and on my very first hand flopped a set of 10s on a board with a straight flush draw (if you read previous posts you saw me lose a flopped set to a rivered straight flush for a big pot at Aria 2-5). I play it fast, get raised, and get all the chips in by the river.

Let the run good continue.

After Aria we hit up Burgr to fill up before the monster stack. It was great. I could have eaten 20 of the stuffed jalapeños.



Now sitting in the tourney. Level 6. Been card dead and maybe played 5 or 6 hands. Sitting just above 15k.



Starting Level 6. Just passed 7800 entrants.

Sorry for not posting since last night. Been busy responding to everyone's posts on this TR.

Back to the TR... I ended up busting the monster stack right before the day ended. C'est la vie. I have no regrets about my play. I might do another event before leaving.

The next day my friends were playing in the daily Mirage $60 tourney so I joined them and ended up taking first.



After that I headed back to wsop to see friends still in the tourney and in the ladies event.

Then I headed over to Aria to grab some sushi at Masa Tetsu. It was great. I ate way too many rolls and sushi, and forgot to take pictures except for this one they call "Masa Toro" which had fantastic fatty tuna.



Now trying to get into a 2-5 table somewhere. The wait at Aria was about 2 hours.

By the way, a quick reminder of the power of karma.

At the final table in the mirage tournament, someone offered a deal and the big stack rudely said no.

Now, I'm never one to chop unless I'm a short stack or get a great deal, but I try to be polite when turning down chop offers. No reason to be rude about anything while having fun in LV.

Anyhow, you know how this goes. This guy had been bullying with his stack, so I just remained patient and waited until he shoved on me and I called with Ak to his K2. I took almost all his chips, and he's quickly out a couple hands later with a min-cash, then I took the chip lead which held.

huh? lol. but yeah they want to snap a little more $ out of the homeward bound ones.
