Taking off from LAX

Landed in LV

Room wasn't ready at Caesars so I've stopped off at Mesa Grill for lunch. The fresh lime juice/blue sauza margarita and chili relleno is awesome but what a tiny portion size.

Splashed around in V's 1-2 while waiting for room.

Checked in.

Bad beat. Safe won't open. Waited forever for them to open it.

Your non-TR is already better than a majority of the TR's that get posted.

After that little fun we hit up the Italian restaurant at Caesars.

Followed by some sports book drinking.

After hanging at the sports book, I headed over to Aria for some 2/5. It was just a painful series of card deadness. Only hand of note was me opening to 20 w/AQxx in ep. ~45 year old villain who was talking poker strategy/online poker and seemed to play TAG, called in MP. All fold. Flop Qx9c4c. H bet 45, V called. Turn 10x. H checked to induce bluff from TAG. V checked. River 2x. H bet 65, V briefly tanked, called, mhig and V mucked and shook his head. Other than that hand, nothing happened for a few hours.

Pic of walk from Caesars to Aria:

After that disappointing poker session, i headed over to the craps table to feed my need for action, dumped $400, but climbed out for a tiny win.

This morning we woke up and went to the Caesars buffet Bacchanal. Absolutely stuffed.

Now likely heading to V, B, or Aria for another session. Plan is to grind, and we'll hit up a steakhouse for dinner, thinking Gordon Ramsay's place at Paris. Anyone been there, suggest any certain dishes?

Loving the pics. Are those meatballs at the Caesars Italian? They look huge.

Well. I couldn't resist. I only had to wait about 10 minutes to get my turn (my fist and last time). Blew a couple hundred with nothing to show. A line of about 6 people formed right after I started. Boring card dead play at Aria. Only notable hand thus far. Playing 1-3. 3 limps to me. I bump to 18 w/AKxx in SB. TAG V calls in MP (V has been playing a good tight game mostly, and previously raised me off a couple hands). Eff stacks ~200.

Flop Ax3c5c. H bets 20. V raises to 45. H raises to 120. V folds and shows AJ.

Went over to Aria. Played in their 1:00. Busted 20th out if 131. 12 paid. Was taken out by two Brits in a 3-way all-in. My A8 bested by JJ and AK.

Could someone do me a favor, and let me know what it's like to hit a set, straight, flush or FH? Haven't seen any of those in two days.

Walking back to Caesars and people are lining up to watch the fountain:

Well, I'd have to say that ever since the blasted7 TR debacle of 2014 there have been some quality TRs in LVL.

Keep it up OP. GL.

Last night We were going to do Gordon Ramsay's steak place in Paris but the music was cranked, way too loud for a nice dinner. So we went back to Caesars to the Old Homestead steakhouse.

Started out with the Lobster bisque that was easily the best part of my meal.

Followed with a bone-in filet and lamb, and some great side dish that I can't remember the name.

Played some blackjack and then headed over to the V for some 2-5. Was there until 2:30 or so but decided to leave because it was a boring nit fest, and once the regs started some big argument with the floor about who was seated at which table, the mood turned sour so I left. If I wanted office politics, I wouldn't be in Vegas.

Couple quasi-memorable moments. I won a pot off the Ice Man. Didn't take a pic. He never seemed to stay at the table. Always walking around and talking.

Continued the trend of run bad. Only won pots through stealing blinds and semi-bluffs - until 2:15 when I hit a very well disguised nut straight with 3-5. Only managed to get about 250 from a pretty good young TAG reg who appeared to make a good read and tough fold. Looked like he had 2p.

I like OP's style. No filler. Just quality trip reporting. Nice pics. Likes Italian food and steak.

I approve.

And you are another Lionshare victim. Maybe its the degen in me that brings me back or that I get to keep the damn machine if I win it.

Run good. Love the pics.

Been sitting at Aria for 6 hours. Haven't hit a single draw. Still no set, flush or FH this trip. Still only the one straight last night. But, today's table has at least been fun. Some action oriented young regs, some loose doctors, a crazy old lady and a few tourists. Again, I only win hands with bluffs for the most part, but losing overall due to many suck outs, and complete weak play by me in two big pots since I was gunshy from all the runbad.

And then this...

I get AA utg raise 20. Crappy LAG re-raises 100 MP. Competent TAG who covers me reraised 200. Think I'm pumped? "What to do?" I'm thinking as the Happy song plays in my head.

I tank. Both players look very strong. How much to raise where they might call?? I go 575 total with 350ish behind. Bad LAG beats me in the pot with his remaining ~400. TAG says he knows I have AK but folds queens face up.

I turn over my cards, LAG shows KK. Board bricks out (with a Q on the flop!) and mhig.
