Is there a way to subscribe so I can receive an email when there's new content?

Also you should change the site's favicon (the icon that shows up in your browser tab or bookmark). The default Wordpress one is lame. PM me if you need help.
Oops! I had this and deleted the image by accident. It should be fixed now.

Not to cause trouble, but which sites are your biggest competitors in Vegas. I would love to get more recommendations.
eatinglasvegas's John Curtas is by far the biggest. He's the most well known food critic in Vegas and has been around a while. I think most of his opinions are spot on (especially sushi burritos which we both hate with a passion).

Mint Indian Bistro is fully open as I imagine Ping Pang Pong will be. I'm not super into Chinese food, so that wouldn't be my choice but you might very well run into me at Mint cause that place is great and I'm probably going to be in town.

Hachi is a great place with a real traditional Omakase. Just sit at the bar and ask for an Omakase for $X and they will bring you stuff and it will be delicious. It's in the same parking lot as Chada.

Yui is fantastic as well. Very similar to Kabuto, the grilled items are better though and it's slightly more expensive.

Maybe because it's not Chinese?

Do you mean similar to Kabuto?

Awesome to see your website back on, will check regularly!

What's your take on the burnt ends at Rolling Smoke? I haven't tried them yet, but a couple "real" Kansas City (home of the burnt ends) residents told me they didn't like them very much.

Just get the chopped brisket, that's all you need. Do not get the sliced brisket. Chopped only.

lol, the Chinese and Mint were separate thoughts.

Whoops, yes. Similar to Kabuto.

Rollin Smoke has gone downhill drastically from what I can tell. I need to go back and do an update for my review. The last time I had them, the burnt ends were definitely not up to snuff.

I need a solid Indian lunch buffet anywhere within 10 min of strip for < $12. Sorry to be so specific. Ideas?

How about Mount Everest? I've not had their lunch buffet but had an amazing meal there once.

Lunch buffet price is $10.99

Wait were you actually serious? I thought you were joking cause I've been talking about Mint so often recently. Mint is the answer. It's $13 and amazing. And they opened a second location just recently on the west side of town!

I know you didn't create the site to profit, but do you think it could go that way eventually?

Also, how is that project with Joe going for gamer training?

I think I could make decent money off this idea if I update regularly. I have some plans for monetizing.

It's going slowly. Making a business is hard.

Anyone considering taking advantage of gobbo's Food Host service should 100% do so. I have eaten with him a few times and gotten recommendations from him multiple times as well. He has never let me down, not even once.

You should also pester him to restart the food outings that he used to organize, because they are a lot of fun, and he's a good guy and a lot of fun to hang out with.

Nice website and enjoy your reviews.

As a Vegas tourist, I'm always looking for -

Listing by price

Listing by location - especially on strip - which casino and maybe idea where in casino

Usually thinking where can I get a decent non-burger non-sub lunch for $10 or $15 that I don't have to walk miles to get to

There will be a map up soon of all the places I've visited. I call it Jimmy's Map of Deliciousness. You can sort by the places near you!

Also, you can search by tags on the site to check out the different kinds of food you want. (japanese, spicy, late night, etc)

Edit: Map is up! http://jimmyeatsvegas.com/map

All this Mint talk is making me hungry and badly wanting to be in Vegas.

My last visit to Mint was this platter dish along with many delectable extras.

India food, when great, is transcendental. It's just unfortunate that too often it's "meh" level. Once you find a good spot though...

JF, Rollin smoke has expanded and is more crowded as ever. Of course its still slightly over priced and can vary from day to day in quality. Still... whats a person to do for BBQ that isnt famous daves (horrible) or on the strip.

We need more wood based cooking in Vegas
