Alright. Was busy with Christmas festivities the last couple days with family & friends... have some poker & pit games to report.
Venetian $2/5 poker session: 11 hours 22 minutes (2:53 PM through 2:15 am). In for $1300
I was admittedly playing like a maniac here, spewing all over the place. Here are a few hands I wrote down:
Ah 2h in SB. UTG raise to $15, four callers, I squeeze to $75, UTG calls, CO calls. $500 effective with both at start of hand.
8h 5d 4h flop. I bet $200 and both fold after a few seconds each.
AA in CO. HJ raises to $25 ($200 effective), I 3-bet to $80, he jams for $200 total, I snap and roll over my hand instantly. I would have AA cracked two of three times today, and the third went raise-3bet-fold pre.
Board runs out T9874 and the HJ stands up to put his jacket on. Then he calls "time" on himself during showdown, which was incredibly weird and a move I've never seen before. Of course, I knew what was coming - I just thought it would be JJ and not 66. He racks his chips and leaves.
QQ in CO. V opens to $25 in HJ, and he has caught me bluffing with a $120 river barrel in the last hour. We're $900 effective. I three-bet to $80, he four-bets to $170. I think for a beat about five-betting but ultimately don't like it against almost any live players, and call.
Flop (Pot: $347) Ks 7s 4c. HJ leads for $220, I tank fold. His value range is {KK+, AK}, and I block AQ twice. Don't like this spot.
99 in SB. MP opens to $20, CO calls, BTN calls, I call, BB calls. Rationale: I have been extremely loose and have zero fold equity with any three-bet. I don't like the idea of inflating a pot OOP multi-way with 99.
Flop (Pot: $100): JT9 with two clubs. I'm okay with leading here to avoid the hand from checking through and I bet $75. BB calls, MP calls.
Turn (Pot: $325): 4d, bringing backdoor flush draw. I bet $100 and get called in both places.
River (Pot: $525): Jc, bringing in the flush. I bet $250 and the BB calls with KJo, MP tank folds.
7c 4c in the cutoff. UTG opens to $15, HJ, who seems to be kind of stationy but has made some decent plays to chip back up over the last hour calls. I have been relentlessly 3-betting UTG opener with any two when I have the chance and been printing. Also, I didn't come to Vegas with some money to play GTO lol. 3! to $75. BTN cold calls, UTG folds, HJ calls.
Flop (Pot: $247): As 6c 3c. HJ check/calls my c-bet of $160. BTN folds.
Turn (Pot: $567): Tc. I jam my last $400 effective in, HJ rolls over Ac 9c and I'm drawing to the five of clubs on my last bullet....
All-in-all, I had my most fun poker session ever the first few hours; I made friends with the guy to my left for most of the day, kept the table alive with action and some good needles, but I couldn't catch a break in some of the most critical hands. Aces cracked twice, got KK in the BB in the one hand that I chopped with the SB all night, and ran flush-into-flush on my last hand.
Pic of my stack before I lit $1600 on fire
